Pereyra proved to be on par with vidal and marchisio this game... Allegri trusts him a lot. If alegri didn't trust him, he would have risked playing Marchisio-Vidal-Pogba in a 352 from the start. I like him a lot, and have always been a supporter of him since the begining, like devi, unlike most of you guys, esp elm lol

Nedved: ‘Monaco not easy’

Juventus director Pavel Nedved warns Monaco are a tough opponent after drawing them in the Champions League.

Going by UEFA club rankings, the Quarter Final tie represents the best the Old Lady could have hoped for, with Monaco ranked 71st, the lowliest team in the draw by some distance.

However, the former Czech international insists it's no accident that the Ligue 1 side are in the Quarter Finals, and praises Max Allegri.

“Is this what we wanted?” Nedved considered, speaking to Sky after the draw.

“It’s hard to say, I’ll tell you later, we have the chance to go through, and that’s the important thing.

“We have to concentrate and prove that we’re strong in Europe, and I must say, I saw both of Monaco’s matches [in the last round against Arsenal] and they’re not in the Quarter Finals by chance.

“They played two great games, and though in the second game they suffered a bit more, I have to say I was impressed with them at the Emirates Stadium in London.

“They’re possibly more dangerous away from home than at home, so we have to be careful.

“We can’t think too far ahead, given the problems we’ve had lately, with injuries to players. I’ve also heard something which is incorrect, that we’ve already won the League.

“That’s not true, there are still too many games to go, so we have to manage the squad in a perfect way, especially now.

“I think our players are in an impressive run of form. It’s happened and just the right time and for that too I have to congratulate the Coach [Max Allegri].

“He’s managed the squad well, giveng us the calm to face Europe in the way we did [against Dortmund].

“This is maybe what we were lacking before, and now we have it.”

When Juventus lifted the Champions League in 1996, they had focused all their energies on the competition at the expense of Serie A, with a 14-point lead, could they do that this year?

“No, absolutely not, because just the opposite happened to me. We had won the League in 2003, we had switched off a bit and maybe we paid for that a little bit [losing the Champions League final to Milan].

“You have to be prepared for every game, play every game with the utmost concentration so you can get to the end.

“To do otherwise would be a mistake.”

Butti: ‘Very difficult for Monaco’

Monaco director Andrea Butti admits that their tie with Juventus will prove ‘very difficult’ for the team from the principality.

The Bianconeri will play the Ligue 1 side in the Champions League Quarter Finals, with Monaco the worst team left in the draw by UEFA ranking.

“We knew that whoever we drew it would be a difficult match,” Butti told Sky after the draw.

“It’s a very difficult tie for us, they’re coming off a great game against Borussia [Dortmund]. It’s a challenge of the highest order, but we knew it would be in the Quarter Final.

“We’ve gotten past Arsenal, now we’ll do our best and give everything against the Bianconeri.

“We didn’t do calculations about possible opponents, as the seven remaining teams are all top-notch.

“We started the Champions League ranked 32nd, and we’ve faced teams far more experienced than us.

“We’re ready, and if we were to progress it would be another miracle, if not then it’s still been a remarkable Champions League campaign.”

In your face Conte.

Btw Allegri proved to Conte that you can dine with 10$ at 100$ restaurant. Instead of saying how weak are our players compared to the players who are valued 100m, Allegri said we have players who not a lot of clubs in Eu own them.

Its all about the perception (and of course stats/progress/form individually and of the team) of the market value for the player. By this stage last year, the value of our team was lower than today. Vidal, Marchisio, Pogba, Pereyra, Caceres, even Lichsteiner are worth more now than 365 days ago.

Having said that, I always believe Juventus have the necessary capabilities to at least reach semi finals as a whole , every season.

When Sexxxllegri takes us into Semi-Finals it will be a good day for all the bianconeri fans in the world!

Vidal: ‘Monaco difficult tie’

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal inists Monaco will be ‘difficult’ opponents in the Champions League Quarter final.

On paper, the principality side are the best opponents the Bianconeri could have hoped for in today’s draw, as they are the lowest-ranked of all the teams remaining in the competition.

However, the Chilean international warns that the Old Lady are in for a tough test.

“We were in the dressing room when we heard it was against Monaco,” Vidal revealed as he spoke to Sky.

“Did we cheer? No, no they are all difficult games, these are the eight best teams in Europe. I think it’s a 50/50 game and we have to be focused to try and progress.”

Juventus are 14 points clear of the chasing pack in Serie A, is it difficult to maintain the same intensity knowing their rivals are so far behind?

“It’s difficult, but we have only one thing on our minds and that’s winning a fourth Scudetto, and we have to make sure we’re only thinking about that.

“Genoa? It’s the only fixture we’ve lost so far in the League, so we have to win [the return fixture on Sunday].”

Juventus can ‘dream’ of the Champions League final, according to defender Andrea Barzagli.

The Bianconeri are in the Quarter Finals of the competition, with Ligue 1 side Monaco standing between them and semi-final place.

“Last year we had a bad Champions League campaign,” Barzagli admitted in an Italy Press conference.

“This year we started with another challenge. The change of Coach has given us a different exhilaration, to try and surprise.

“The Champions League is also a matter of luck, of the right moments. I don’t know how far we can go.

“The final? We have to believe in it, why not dream? We go onto the pitch believing, but also knowing that there are teams at a higher level than us.

“There’s a big difference in mentality and consistency of results [between Juve and the other Serie A teams].

“In a one-off game anything can happen, we’ve shown ourselves to be the strongest in recent years.

“We can also look at the Europa League, it’s important that the mentality of some teams has changed.

“I hope that someone [Napoli or Fiorentina] can get to the final of the Europa League and we can do the same in the Champions League.

“We can bring Italian football back to where it should be.”

Marchisio injured on Italy duty

Claudio Marchisio is out of Italy’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Bulgaria with a potentially long-term injury.

The midfielder has been ruled out of the trip to Sofia, along with Alessandro Florenzi and Manuel Pasqual, but it is the Juventus man who is the cause of most concern.

Tuttosport reports that the 29-year-old was injured in training at Coverciano, with Azzurri doctors fearing that he could be facing a long spell on the sidelines with a muscular problem.

That would be a major blow for the Bianconeri, who will already be without Paul Pogba for next month’s Champions League Quarter Final with Monaco.

There has been no confirmation as yet as to the nature and the extent of the injury, and Juventus will be hoping that the blow is not as bad as reports are suggesting.

Straro has to get more and more minutes in Serie A now until the Monaco game, he is the only sub we have left for the midfield and ofc Padowin.

I would go 4-3-3 in serie A and forma a midfield with Sturaro- Pereyera - Padoin and rotate Pereyra/Pirlo/Vidal until Monaco game and

-----Vidal---Pirlo---Pereyra--
-------------Tevez------
------Morata--------Llorente--

against Monaco

Yeah mate that sounds good. No matter what formation or players we use, we have to grind the last remaining Serie A games so we can focus on the C.L. Do we have any idea when are Asamoah and Romulo returning though ? They could come in handy for the league now. And if we manage to get past Monaco and that if is a big one, Pogba will be ready for the semis right ?

Well on Asamoah there was a news at the end of May but I doubt it.... Romulo is also very very unlikely we are going to see him back he injrued his knee.

What about the viola match? We seriously are in an injury crisis. Hopefully sturaro will do some magic in the league, though I highly doubt that we will use him with padoin. I say we go for 433 with pepe on the wing. or, pepe can play as cm instead of markizio as he did with cOnte sometimes

Carvalho: ‘I’ll be back for Juve’

Monaco are sweating over the fitness of Ricardo Carvalho ahead of their clash with Juventus, but the defender thinks he’ll be fit.

The Ligue 1 side will meet the Bianconeri in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League, with the first leg at Juventus Stadium on April 14.

However, the principality side could be without Ricardo Carvalho with the Portuguese international hurting his knee after scoring in last night’s win over Serbia.

However, the former Chelsea man - who has made 23 appearances for his club across all competitions this season - is confident he’ll be fit for the trip to Turin.

“When I was celebrating, I felt the knee open up a bit,” Carvalho said after the game.

“Then when I tried to cut on to my left foot for a corner, I felt it again a little.

“I think it is the internal lateral ligament. I think I’ll be fine within a week or 10 days.”

Pirlo returns for Juventus

Andrea Pirlo is set to return to Juventus training this afternoon, after recovering from a thigh injury.

The regista had attempted to return for the Champions League Last 16 tie with Borussia Dortmund, but was not deemed ready by medical staff.

After a weekend off, those Juventus players not called-up by their national teams will resume training at Vinovo this afternoon, and Calciomercato believes Pirlo will take part.

The 35-year-old has been following a personalised training regimen as he works his way back to fitness, but looks set to resume training with his teammates today.
