With all the players PSG will have out and how terrible our schedule is this month, it would be in our best interest to try and end this series in the first leg.

And I agree Adriano should play on the right. Bartra did play in pretty much a rb back role in the second leg when we beat PSG in the group stages so maybe that's something Lucho explores again who knows. Then again Pedro played right wing that game and was helping defend allot, something Messi won't do as he will likely be farther up trying to help out in attack

Over all GREAT goals by Suarez, good lord. Glad we got 3 away goals, more than I thought we would of got. A home goal and we are pretty much through to the semis

And hopefully Porto finishes the job vs Bayern

That's a clear sign of tiredness, Masch had great energy the full 90 min.

A very good performance but their goal leaves the tie just open.
And it was very avoidable.Neymar was caught napping and didnt track VDW who had an open shot.And then Mathieu missed the clearance.
I am pleased though with the midfield domination.I didnt watch the first half but the second half we dominated the midfield.It pleases me immensely because we have done that very few times this season,especially in big games.

And I am left scratching my head how Busquets can be so awful at CM.A player of his intelligence cant be so bad at CM.After 5 min,Busquets and Masch had to switch.It was initially Busquets at CM and Masch DM.They switched because Busquets was not good.
Sometimes I get the impression Busquets is purposely bad at CM cause he doesnt want to move from DM.

Does it surprise you though? Montoya was passing the ball sideways every time he touched it. Messi also played as a CAM for most of the game and played relatively safe, wasn't really direct.

Having watched our games this season,yes it does surprise me.

Maradona said that he sometimes wished he were a DM so he could control every aspect of the game.

fatigue is really kicking in now though... really wish we had someone in the bench that could let our forwards have some rest...

Suarez first goal even considering school boy defending from luiz . until the first goal suarez was our 80 million dollar lollypop baby sometimes i really wonder how such a top class striker has such an awful first touch and passing quality....
Stegen but his coming out of goal post pretty much in once in every game really scares me. he bottled that in last game and was about to this game as well...
but to be honest we were real lucky to avoid the two madrid sides which to me still the best opponents in the competition. lucky, one of them will be out. PSG with all European hypes still far from being a deserving semifinalist. look at the chances they have got, not so little. their play around our box are simply awful. the only player who did something and probably is the best of the match is Matuidi. Pastore with all his dribbling and speed was always coming short in end product. many people say cavani plays well when ibra is absent. but i highly doubt it.
No chance for PSG for me. porto game will be more interesting in the same time next week.

@Alex, I know...I don't think he's as bad there as you say, but he certainly is a markedly worse player. He seems clueless to me at times with his off the ball movement and passing when he gets in forward positions.

However this is why he plays DM. And he is the perfect DM. The first goal he win the ball, the ball is a bit loose but he lunges at it, both preventing PSG from getting the ball back and also displacing one player while passing it to an advanced player. The transition quickly leads to a goal for Barca.

His passing through the lines? Ability to hold on in the pivot position? We should stop pretending he can play CM at all and just keep him at DM at all times because he is the perfect DM.

Busquets continues to be our most vital player this season with Messi and Suarez is in with a shout.

Great game and tie over in the first leg. What am I to be upset about? I need to catch the last 30 minutes though.

Neymar aswell I'd say, he usually plays well in 80% of our big games.
