Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
Just had this revelation
I think Arya will get a contract to kill Jon. The whole needle incident back in book 1 will makes so much sense when Arya stabs him with it.

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
When this thread gets bumped my levels of anticipation for a book announcement goes into overdrive. The level of disappointment I feel when it's just another theory post is horrible

It's in Dorne isn't it? Can't remember where I read that theory but it was pretty convincing.

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
Yea it was never braavos. If the family escaped from Dragonstone then the next stop must have been Dorne surely?
Reckon when Daenerys meet Doran he will tell her about her past.

Honestly though I hope it doesn't happen (in the books). I liked how they left off whether he's alive or dead ambiguous and we assume he has just moved on.

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
As much as i would love cleganebowl it's probably better to leave Sandor's fate ambiguous till like late late on where he saves Sansa at some point and be her knight in shining armour

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
If thats really Euron at the bridge then those 3 leeches theory is true
if those 3 leeches theory is true then the red god really is the most powerful out there
and if red god is the most powerful out there then Daenerys has no chance of achieving anything.

Did you forget about the books? Balon dies after Robb. 3 leeches were proven right in the book...and then GRRM revealed it was a trick in ASOIAF Wiki.
Melisandre's three leeches were a trick, she already knew that Joffrey, Balon and Robb were going to die. EDIT: the app specifically says that she saw their deaths in her flames.
Melisandre is confirmed to specifically see "Jon Snow's" face in her fires rather than just "snow".
GRRM said somewhere that there are no Gods in ASOIAF. There is powerful magic that people end up worshipping and creates religions. For example events ADWD heavily imply that Old Gods of he North are Greenseers that morph into weirwood.

Re: [BOOKS] Game of Thrones for the Literate
Apologies, he does not explicitly say it but hints at it.

The magic-religion bit was something quite old, but I'm positive he says something about magic being interpreted as Godhood/religion.
