Re: Our Killer Schedule Until 4 March
It's even more impressive that the two losses in that span both came in extra time as well.
We're kind of spoiled under Rodgers in second halves of the seasons, truly.

In the top-4 or just a couple of points adrift after that run.In the League Cup final. In the last-16 of the Europa League.
In first the 5th and then 6th round of the FA cup?

Re: Our Killer Schedule Until 4 March
Overall we handled this run pretty well.
Losing to Chelsea in a two-legged tie doesn't matter, they were always going to be better than us this season.
The Besiktas defeat was a hard one to take
And we really should have dealt with Blackburn, now it's going to be a nervous away game.
But unbeaten in the league is great, 10 games left, hopefully we can keep this form in the run-in

Re: Our Killer Schedule Until 4 March
Well, my priority was to regain top-four position and we did well in that regard. We jumped two places and slashed the gap (with #4) to two points during this period. My biggest frustration is perhaps the dropped points with Everton. They were really poor that day.

Re: Our Killer Schedule Until 4 March
Even our worst results in 2015 have been really unfortunate and with a bit of luck could have actually turned them in our favor.
Leicester game for example, any other day we would never let a 2 goal lead against the worst side in the league slip away but it happened and Markovic missed a sitter at the end that could easily have given us the 3 points.
Everton draw likewise. They didn't really create anything of note but parked the bus and huffed and puffed. Had Ibe's shot that hit the post gone in we would have all been hungover from a derby win for days.
Losing to Chelsea over 2 legs in extra time was completely unlucky. First we outplayed them for 180 minutes of football over 2 legs. The 1-1 results first leg was bogus really. Their penalty was questionable and we missed chance after chance.
The Besiktas loss again came down to effing pens. In hindsight had Kolo or whoever stepped up instead of Lovren luck might have been on our side. Or better yet Lallana missed a wide open sitter at Anfield that could have easily given us a better lead to defend on the second leg. Again very close loss.
Bolton and Blackburn draws haven't cost us anything. Just added some extra games. Bolton we already redeemed and Blackburn doesn't worry match either.
Just a tad bit more quality or luck at some parts of those matches and we would be sitting as the best club in 2015 in all of Europe. Fine margins really.

Re: Our Killer Schedule Until 4 March
^ those four points would taken us to third by now, at least in theory.
I don't mind the loss against Chelsea. Their squad was much, much better than us and in the end they made it count. Besides, we gave everything and so, no regrets.
The loss against Besiktas is acceptable too. It's very difficult to play in Istanbul. Also, a win would have been only a marginal progress.
But we simply threw away those points against Foxes and Toffies.
