Re: Giant killer of 2018 world cup
I don't think there will be a true giant killer, unfortunately, but I think teams like Colombia, or Poland could cause an upset or 2 after the group stage, since that group will likely play England and Belgium.
Not sure if Iceland can continue on as giant killer, but that will probably be the team on most peoples minds for this.

I heard they're without the Tunisian Messi, Msakni, out injured ffs. No chance they surprise. I only know Khazri. Majority of their players are in crappy Arab leagues I think.

Morocco is the best Arab team, they play good as well. I think they're goign to surprise a few people.

I think they have enough quality to get out of their group atleast. Perennial bottlers England and two lesser quality teams.
They could flop against England and still somehow sneak through. Belgium are flat-track bullies afterall.

Nah. Roberto Martinez is a good manager. Belgium have way too much quality to not progress. I can see England somehow not making it but Belgium should comfortably.

Re: Giant killer of 2018 world cup
At the moment I cannot see a giant killer going to the semi finals. A few could go to the quarter finals though. I'll pick Colombia, Tunisia and Senegal for that.

Does Uruguay count or are they too big now?

Re: Giant killer of 2018 world cup
Uruguay is too big
If they reach the final, it will be a surprise, but i think most people expect them to be at least relevant. They have a solid squad.
i'll root for our boy Bentancur

Re: Giant killer of 2018 world cup
Honestly it wont exactly be a 'surprise' if Uruguay goes out even if i think they'll progress.
Need to see if Salah is going to be fit in time.
