Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
It's not a problem because Odegaard doesn't use his physique to play as well.

Man City is a poor example. Pep's style is very very unique. Odegaard would be fine playing for City but that's about it in terms of the top 6 teams.

Madison plays for leceister, is doing well in EPL and doesn't use his physique. Mata made a career in EPL as well doing the same.
He will do just fine, as long as he is not asked to be a box to box guy whose job it is to cover ground back and forth.

thats what im saying if a small player is willing to be bullied he will be but if he has a bit of fight in him then he can hold his own. perfect examples would be countinho and ozil.Mr Nick09 wrote:Madison plays for leceister, is doing well in EPL and doesn't use his physique. It's just an adjustment. My point is that it's an unnecessary variable to throw at Odegaard... let him settle into his game first. Changing teams is hard enough. Changing leagues is far more difficult.
I also feel La Liga's style of play is for better for Odegaard.

If you're going to live in the final 1/3 and not defend much, it's less of an issue. If you're looking to be a proper CM and have to win duels, defend, etc., it's more difficult.

stop crying about people calling you crying IMO
also, if ever a Chad post has thumbs up, you can attribute one of them to me

One doesn’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that he keeps thumbing up his own comments through his second account, Varangel. I refuse to believe that there just so happens to be two people on this small forum who both share the same degree of fanboyism for Benzema, same level of irrational and spontaneous aggression, paranoia and butthurt, and a wasp-like tendency to lunge into the same wall a million times and expect different results.
I’ve known that Chad is brutally unintelligent, ever since he spammed the match day chat for a good 5-10 minutes in response to my brief and at the time, rare criticism of Benzema. There’s just no way that a second person who’s as «special» as him coincidentally found their way to this forum during times when member recruitment is non-existent.

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
I just watched Fede Valverde’s interview with a Norwegian journalist, following the match between RM and Real Sociedad. Valverde and Ødegaard played 12 matches together for Castilla before the latter was loaned out to Herenveen, and they apparently became close friends who chat frequently through social media.
I think I’ll take the «close friends» claim with a grain of salt, considering it was written by a journalist. I wasn’t aware that they were friends at all, though.
Valverde gladly stopped by the norwegian press to talk about Martin Ødegaard, following the 3-1 match between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad.
Are you impressed by his development since you played together in Castilla?
How’s the relationship between the two of you today?
The 2-1 goalscorer was the only Real Madrid player who appeared in the press zone.

Fede Valverde wrote:Martin’s a very kind person. He deserves all of the best. It’s impossible not to cheer for him, he’s impossible to dislike, Valverde says with a smile. As a player, he shows week in, week out how good he is: assists, goals, and everything else he has to offer. We played together in Castilla. They were tough matches, but he always had that magic that made him stand out. Now I’m at Real Madrid and I hope he comes too.

Fede Valverde wrote:I’m not surprised, because I’ve always known what he could do and how far he could go. He has a long road ahead of him. He’s a player with an incredible future, and we in Real Madrid are lucky to have him on our team.

Fede Valverde wrote:We chat and share banter through social media. I’m not going to reveal what we talk about, but we talk a lot and I wish him all possible success, says Valverde.

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
What a player. I refuse to believe that JAMES is better than him at his position.
Clearly suited to play in a 3 man midfield. Unreal penetration and through ball.
Dribbling and dead ball are just bonus.

Martin has been quite poor since returning from his knee injury. This is the second game in a row now, where he’s looked like a shadow of himself. Hopefully, he’ll bounce back.

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
You could say the same for their other in form player Oayarzabal. He's been bad for 2-3 games in a row now. Race for top 4 is heating up now. Quite a few teams competing for that last spot. LaReal need their players to get into form again
