Seriously? Nothing noteworthy whatsoever about that pass, honestly competent defending would have intercepted it easily
Apart from that, nice to see that La Real is the refuge of failed former BVB top talents Merino and Isak

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
I was told that a large concentration of German smegma had been spotted in the Real Madrid section. The information was correct

Ödegaard's assist itself was nothing special. That goal was all on Isak.

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
never seen people disputing an assist this much
did he make a game winning assist yes or no? not oyarzabal, not portu, not merino, no it was odegaard, he should get full credit for making a key play that earned a win for his team
lol

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
It’s ok Nick. I get the feeling that the majority of this forum, at least the Madrid section are not cheering for club but specific players. For instance Hala, support any academy player and anti Courtois; Chad and his clone, anti any attacking player not named Benzema; Sports anti anything not French, etc

One, stop picking on Thimmy's little brother. And Thimmy lol.
Two, it was the assist that led to the match winning goal. Literally. And that is all Nick commented on. And because I watched the match in its entirety (as did probably brother Thimmy), Ode had a decent to good match in general but (to me anyway) you can tell he is a bit more sluggish after his high flying start to the campaign which was inevitable. No way was he gonna keep up that form.

Yup, Isak passed to himself and scored it. No contribution from anywhere else, all him.

More like «why didn’t he pass it to Benzema?! Everyone ignores Benzema ffs. Bunch of sideways dribbling cunts».

At this rate I'd be happy if he got a shot on goal and not aimlessly jogging around the pitchMr Nick09 wrote:the day Jovic scores his first goal

Martin Odegaard is a doubt for the upcoming match against Levante, as he received a knock to his ankle in a harsh challenge by Celta Vigo’s Jorge Saenz, and played through that match with lingering pain.

I don’t know why he played that match against Levante, when he had to finish the prior match against Celta Vigo despite being injured. Real Sociedad now officially states that Martin Ødegaard injured his Calceanus (heel) in the match against Celta Vigo, and he will not be featuring in their upcoming match against Granada.

Just wanna point out that if Zidane really wants a Modric replacement, this young man is him. Please do not question this, after watching the match, Odegaard would very much succeed at this club given a proper shot.

Zidane is not a complicated man, he wants Pogba, he wants Mbappe. the rest, we will see
It's very distinctive how he talks about both in press conference

I don't mind Mbappe, he could spend the entire transfer budget on him. Pogba, nah. We actually have a proper Modric replacement waiting and willing and certainly doesn't need fucking cuddling every other week to perform.

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
The thing is that Zidane doesn't want a Modric replacement... that's not his intent at all. He wants athletes who can play at CM... Casemiro, Valverde.... and Pogba. That would be the most athletic midfield trio you could imagine. I don't think he rates Kroos much and Modric is getting old.
Why the athleticism? Fullbacks can attack as they wish. Plenty of people that can legit cover for them no problem.
If Cavajal ever comes back to his top form... Carvajal, Mendy, Varane, Ramos, Pogba, Casemiro, and Valverde... those are some SERIOUS athletes.
Now if you put Mbappe up front with Benzema and Hazard to boot... holy cow.

Odegaard will come back too... he'll just need to outplay Valverde and Casemiro. Personally, i think there's plenty of game time for 4 midfielders to cover 3 spots. Just rotate. It's healthy.

seconding each other's posts doesnt change the fact that Zidane clearly wants POgba.
Valverde's emergence may impact Odegaard staying in la Real one more season for sure.

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
Sure, Zidane may want Pogba, and that could mean that we’ll get him, but it would also mean that we’ll have a smaller budget for additional transfers. Pogba certainly has athleticism, but I would’ve expected Zidane to take notice of how rarely he displays it.
Regardless of whether or not he’s destined to play for us, I don’t have to agree that pushing for his transfer is a wise course of action. I honestly believe we would be doing Man United a massive favor at our own expense by signing him. I recognize Pogba’s potential and talent just like anyone else, but I also recognize that he’s a dud whenever he doesn’t feel up for the task for whatever reason. Players like that can fuck off, in my humble opinion.
In addition to his predictably god awful performances this season, he’s been very injury prone lately as well. The people who root for him will probably just write it off as him «rightfully» seeing out his time with United until he gets the transfer he wants, but obviously that doesn’t reflect well on him either. For someone who’s often described as Man United’s best/most talented player by far, his absence from their squad has made humorously little difference outside of forcing a change in their tactical setup. Personally, I’d argue that they perform better with the less talented, yet far more consistent, McTominay. Mindset matters, attitude matters.

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
What god awful performances? He's barely played. 6 games... all early... with 3 of them coming off the bench since he had ankle problems (that they eventually realized was a fracture).
Dude, stop turning into Chad with clear agendas with nothing to back them
I am pro-French obviously. But I don't character assassinate other players as a way to push my preference. As an example, I loved Pepe.... but I thought Varane's time had come and we needed to decide on a direction; nothing against Pepe. Same with Ferland Mendy; he gives us a different look to Marcelo. But that doesn't mean Marcelo isn't Marcelo. With Courtois in goal, we can't afford to allow too many shots on goal.
Now I understand you want Odegaard at Madrid. I agree. But that doesn't mean you have to spew nonsense about his potential competition.

Re: Martin Ødegaard discussion
Has Odegaard ever even played as a CM with similar duties as to Modric or not? Because otherwise he shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as the great man. I've always seen Odegaard as mostly an Ozil/Juan Mata "CAM" type figure .
