They only got to Barcelona 2 days prior to the match and as such they were not part of most of the preparation for this match and possibly not as fit as they should (ie: "in vacation mode")

Seems like we started our season with Messi + Nerman + Rakitic being regular starters and the goals were coming and we were winning games. Then once Suarez arrived, we inserted Suarez and replaced Rakitic with Xavi and we have been scoring less and less, and losing more and more.

Also doesn't help Luis Enrique has practically had a fully fit club all season, and here we are in January and has probably used the same squad maybe like 2-4 times (probably months apart). Seriously, can't stand the man as our manager.

Enrique continues to display his stupidity. In one of the most difficult fixtures of the year, he benches Messi and neymar. I don't care if they weren't "prepared". No one else besides those two has shown any glimpse of being able to lead the team. We have won matches by the individual brilliance of those two alone. We were never gonna win this match through teamwork.

24 different formation in 24 different matches is insane.

He's much worst then Tata, has a better squad then him, I mean he knows the club and philosophy better, but yet despite how we were under Tata we looked like a little threat at times, under Enrique any decent team we struggle a lot more.

Atelti face RM on Wednesday and then have us Sunday, if we don't take advantage of them then considering Simone will play a strong XI both matches then officially the league is gone, nevertheless I expect a draw if not a loss against Atleti anyways.

Barcelona this season, 17 games in have lost 3 games. All last season, with Pinto at goal for the 2nd half of the season, and Messi and Neymar taking turns being in and out of injury, we lost a total of 5 games all season in the league under Tata. This season wouldn't shock me if we finish 3 for the first time in forever.

We should seriously consider sacking Luis once the inevitable loses to Atletico and Man City. At that point it won't matter, as we will be out of the Champions League. Might as well stick in Roura for the remainder of the season, he will at least use the strongest 11 game in and game out.

Benching your 2 best players in a match where ur rival just lost a game?, where u havent won there in 8 years? Where u potentially would have been top of the table? My gahd!!! Even with 2 bad legs, Nerman and messi are mostly better than any other thing the coach is going to replace them with.

if Luis is any worse than Tata it means following :

1. We are going to loose all games vs Athletico
2. We are going to loose vs Man City
3. We will end up lower than 2nd place in the league
4. We cant even reach the cup final (may be even not semifinal?)

Inexcuseable to bench the 2 players who are responsible for like 95 % of the team goals scored this season. But that's not even the real issue because even with those 2 on the pitch we have wittnessed away games without scoring or narrowly scoring and not much changed when they came on yesterday. The real issue remains the lack of quality in central midfield and both wingback positions to execute such extreme possession football properly. Basically lacking attacking quality everywhere except upfront.

Alves does nothing with the ball except lumping high crosses into the box. Alba at least gets to the byline and attempts low crosses but he remains a 1-dimensional headless chicken who doesn't really threaten either despite all the space he is getting.

Iniesta yet to score or assist in La Liga. People still hoping that he will find his rythm, me included, but deep down we all know he is finished. It happens. The signs were there last season. Some are finished with 34, some already with 30. Doesn't surprise me with Iniesta, he relied a lot on his burst of acceleration and explosiveness. Even Messi slightly declined in those aspects and he's only 27.

Rakitic is not good enough for this current system, maybe he might deliver in a system that is closer to what Tata was doing. We will never find out I guess.

Tbh, it's getting boring, I feel like I have written all of this 1000 times already. Zubi, Bart and Co. have "strengthened" a team that already needed an overhaul in Pep's last season 3 years later with Douglas, Vermaelen, Mathieu, Montoya, Rakitic while losing quality like Alexis and Fabregas and there is nothing that Barca can do to rectify that until 2016. Next season will be even worse.
