Stoke v Arsenal Preview & Live
Stoke City v Arsenal, Saturday 6th December 3pm, Britannia Stadium, Premier League

13. Stoke 15pts
Arsenal looking for fourth successive victory ahead of trip to Britannia"
A "tasty game" was how Ryan Shawcross described this weekend's clash between Stoke City and Arsenal when speaking with reporters on Thursday. The Gunners will be heading into a 'cauldron of hate' if the press are to be believed, something Arsène Wenger was quick to play down at his Friday press conference.
"That is an exaggeration," Wenger replied with a grin. "It is a football game, not a hate game." The Frenchman is well aware of Arsenal's poor record at the Britannia Stadium; just one win in six Premier League visits. "It is always a tough and committed place to go. We want to focus on playing football."
Victories against Borussia Dortmund, West Brom and then Southampton - including three clean sheets - have given Arsenal a solid platform to build on heading into the busy festive period, where Wenger's squad face 7 games in 26 days.
Match Facts
* Crouch has bagged seven goals against Arsenal, his second highest against any one team.
* Stoke have lost just one home game against Arsenal in their last eight clashes (W4, D3, L1).
* This is the 100th meeting between the clubs in all competitions. Arsenal lead by 52 wins to Stoke's 24, with 23 draws.
* The Potters have already suffered three Premier League defeats at home - as many as in the whole of last season.
* The Gunners have scored a league-high seven goals in the final five minutes of matches in 2014-15.
* Arsenal's last five Premier League games have all been 0-0 at half-time.

Good work Sam as always.
I’m very worried about this match, with the amount of injuries we have. Not sure if iI would risk Koscielny tbh, I would start Chambers as CB and Bellerin as LB.
Glad Moses is out always causes us trouble. I think we are improving and I can see us winning this game.

Bellerin------mertesacker-----Chambers--------Gibbs

Oxlade-------Rosicky------Santi-------Sanches/Podolski

Re: Stoke v Arsenal Preview & Live
Stoke away is always a tough game, tough atmosphere against a real competitive team. They haven't won their last 3 games, they lost against Liverpool and Yanited when they should have got something in both games so they are no pushovers. We have won 3 games in a row and kept 3 clean sheets so we go into this with a bit of confidence. When you look at the players we are missing and our injury problems, you take the 3 points over performance in these sort of games. I am worried that we will get outmuscled in midfield, i'd start Rosicky to add a bit of aggression in there.

We have a pretty bad record against them, I cant stand them and their fans. I would love us to win a dirty game and score few goals on them shut the fans up early.

Can't afford to rest anyone in this game, we have Galatasaray/Newcastle for that. Martinez looks strong in the air, confident with him
Martinez
Chambers Mertesacker Koscielny(?) Gibbs(?)
Flamini Ramsey
Cazorla
Alexis Giroud Welbeck

Re: Stoke v Arsenal Preview & Live
They are nothing special. We have dropped points due to our own stupidity rather than them being good.
It's going to be difficult. But that team is average. If we can beat southampton and Dortmund then Stoke shouldnt be a problem.
same team as against southampton but maybe Giroud upfront instead of Welbeck. Maybe all 3 as urban's team. We have options this time.
4th win in a row pls

Re: Stoke v Arsenal Preview & Live
Special or not, we will struggle like we always do.
Stoke I think are the team with the most yellow cards thus far, shouldn't come as a suprise and tomorrow they'll just play again the only way they know how and we know we struggle to handle that.
If we get some early goals, we might force them to open up a bit, at least focus more on attack rather than just trying to stop our attacks in the most thuggery way possible. But even then we just have to look at that stat which says we have been going in with the scores at 0-0 in the last 5 PL games.
So I think we're in for a tough afternoon. Any win will do in all honesty. As long as we find a way to win.

An Adam free-kick, an Assaidi tap-in and an injury time Crouch header, 3 - 0 to Stoke

Just look at that back line. Huth, Shawcross, Begovic, Pieters. Big, lumbering oafs, intent on hurting at least one player per game

Would love to see Ramsey and Alexis assist one another for a couple of goals today. Three good results in a row; let's not undo that hard work now!

Good line up, glad Wenger not risking Kos and put Chambers as CB.

Even the NBC commentators are noting how stupid and unjustified Stoke supporters' booing of Ramsey is.

Stoke get a free kick ... for Bardsley sliding into Alexis. It's going to be one of those days.
