I hate to bring Battleborn up in this thread again, but I keep being matched with American players in that game. It's not a big issue, I'm not experiencing any lag at all, but why do some American players need to talk CONSTANTLY? I've had to mute my entire team in every other match, because I'm sick and tired of hearing about American football and this girl named Chelsea and whatnot

Just downloaded the Overwatch beta. Will play the shit out of it on the 9th

Feel free to lol, i watched the review on Gamespot of it btw. I will say one thing the comedy of it is very Borderlands.

Thimmy did you figure it out towards the end

The basics of it is there's 4 classes; attack, defense, tank and support in that order.

As for the specific game types theres the one where you have to push the payload into the end on attack and defend it from getting there.

And you can push it A lot of people don't bother and wonder why it doesn't move and the other one in the beta is standard capturing points stuff.

Despite the fact some are designated to certain classes every character seems to be different so just test them out and find out which one you like for each situation.

This might be a bit of a pointless post and you might have figured some more stuff out as you played but we'll see, if there is anything else you are struggling with outside of the standard basics let me know.

I didn't know you could push the cart I already figured out the rest. The game is fun. Out of the classes I tried out, I preferred Mcree and Widowmaker because I thought they were fun to play as, but other characters seemed more powerful in most situations. Junkrat seems overpowered as f*ck, so I figured I'd try him out.. and I found out that he's overpowered as f*uck Also... turrets and drones, wtf? I feel it's appropriate to use a WoW term here - they're super imba!

Junkrat is insanely good on the defensive things especially if you have high ground, which both of us had with him in that last game.

Seriously that must of been a nightmare to deal with I don't think he's that great when you have to push the objective though and take the offence to the opposition.

Like a lot of the characters he's dependant on the situation imo but that situation he's damn good at

Well, I played one game after you left, and when we were on the attacking side - I had absolutely no problem pushing the opponent team back while my team was capping their def point. He just seems like the "Eddy" of Overwatch He may be more effective in certain situations, but the way I see it, he's really easy to use, deals tons of damage and can be effective in any situation as long as you use the terrain and walls to your advantage. Remember the first play of the game I got with him? I just stormed into their spawn and spammed grenades into a pack of enemies. Got 5 kills that way

Well if Blizzard are true to form with Overwatch as they are with all their other games, they'll continue to listen closely to the community and patch the game up as necessary, update the game etc and try and balance everything out.

Blizzard on my console can't wait

None of the other characters are even close to as powerful and easy to use as he is. That flying, rocket launcher woman also deals tons of damage, but she can only fire a few projectiles and then she has to reload. Junkrat can fire quite a few of them, his reload is super fast, his grenades bounce around even if you miss your target. He's this guy...

I can think of a few tbh.

The Turret guy lol, I mean I have got 20+ kills without even firing a shot lol. Soldier 47 is disgustingly easy to use, high damage and fire rate with ability to use a grenade launcher and heal yourself.

There's probably a few more too.

Soldier 47 is the CoD Archetype, heck his shift is just sprinting and his ult is just hitscan the entire screen

From a 6 vs 6 of actual parties standpoint the only heroes who I think is really problematic are Junkrat and Lucio. Everyone else has enough counterplay; including a Bastion shielded by Reinhardt and amped by Mercy (which only really works on one particular map; otherwise you're pretty much dedicating half your team to defend one of the usually 3 chokepoints.
