Arsenal Vs Tottenham
Saturday 27th September: 17:30BST KickOff
Emirates Stadium
Referee: Michael Oliver

Derby Time

It's that time of the year. Arsenal host their bitter rivals Tottenham on saturday evening in a match where nothing matters when going into the match. It doesn't matter if Tottenham are shit, nor it matters if they are leaking goals or can't create chances to score. That all disappears when you are going into enemy territory. It's that sort of a match. Similarly, we might be unbeaten in the PL for a while. And also that we beat Tottenham three times last year. But each match is different and tomorrow is going to be the same. Both teams will be looking forward to cutting each other off and taking advantage of anything which comes their way. This means they will foul, tackle, cheat and go into every length to get the bragging rights.

It's the North London Derby. And it's here.

One thing which always delivers in the NLD is goals. They are always in abundance whether we like it or not. We have had matches with the scorelines of 5-4, 4-4, 3-3, 3-2, 3-0, 5-2, 5-2 and 4-1. Last year was a bit different with us winning 1-0 away but most often than not, we get a goal fest. I think tomorrow might be the same with Tottenham's defence being a bit shaky while ours leaking goals on the counter and on set pieces. We are clearly the better team. No Spurs player would get in our team. Not even Lloris who hasn't been better than Szczesny in a long time. But that doesn't mean we take it lightly. The best win is obviously the one where we crush them completely.

We need to go out tomorrow and show them why we have finished above them for 18 years. Why we are the most successful team in London. And why they are  nothing but shit.

Team News

For Arsenal, Flamini is back along with everyone else who had a slight knock. Obvious long term injuries remain.

For Tottenham, Kyle Walker is the only one injured.

  • Arsenal (154) and Tottenham (125) are first and third respectively for dribbles attempted this season.
  • Emmanuel Adebayor has scored more goals than any other player in north London derby history (8 for Arsenal and 2 for Spurs).

Strong lineup on our side, even with the injuries we have.

On the other hand, while it's not all peaches and Roses, they're looking a bit Dier at the back. Not the type of game you Kaboulshit through so they better bring it.

You Obviously Love Owls Capoue as well could be an interesting matchup with Arteta.

Excited.

Buzzing for the match tonight. It should be a great atmosphere.
I expect us to be looking for a fast start, and I really feel we should be taking this one to Spurs, catch them off guard a bit, and knock the stuffing out of them.

Come on Arsenal!

You can tell from the press conference that Wenger is going with 4-3-3 again because "it helps the balance of the team". I'm not sure about that but if it works fair enough.

If it is a 4-3-3 the team is obvious:

------------------------------- Szczesny --------------------------
-------- Chambers Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs ---------
-------------------------------- Arteta ------------------------------
------------------------- Ramsey Wilshere ---------------------
--------------------- Alexis Welbeck Özil -----------------------

We're at home, Spurs are not in great form, we need to win. Let's do it!!!

Knowing Wenger it will likely be a 4-1-4-1 with Ozil in his favorite spot on the wings.

Line up:
------------Szczesny
Chambers – Mertesacker – Koscielny – Gibbs
------------Arteta – Ramsey
Sanchez-----------Özi------- –Cazorla
-------------Welbeck

Nice Job RG.

I’d love diaby to start at the back, Flamini and Arteta are both below the level to be a modern DM. An Injured Diaby is better than both imo.

for someone who is blessed with good pace and mobility, Welbeck seems to struggle on one on against defenders weird.

Probably why he was going to be demoted to the 4th choice striker behind a youth promotion even before manu got Falcao.

Artetta out.
Ramsey out.
Wilshere seemingly barely holding on.
Tactical ineptness.

Yep another game as an Arsenal supporter.

What a half, doesn't feel like a competitive game let a lone a derby.

As feared we went 433 again, Oxlade-Chamberlain on the right and Özil on the left  Ox goes on the left for a few minutes and he has a great shot and probably our best chance, what a shocker.....

However we moved to 4231 with Ramsey out, Ox still remains on the right which will prove to be a mistake without a doubt, atleast Alexis will come on and hopefully change something.

He just wants to show his way is the right way, even if it clearly isn't, even if it's to our detriment. Did a great job for the first decade but his arrogance has been hurting the progression of this football club for a long time since.
