Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Group I was already looking a tough one with Portugal, Denmark and Serbia in it, but Albania beating Portugal in the first round just made it even more interesting. It's the only group with only 5 teams in it, too, so less games to do catching up if you're off to a bad start like Portugal.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Portugal without CR7 they aren't much different from other top teams in group like Denmark.Having Eder in attack is just ridiculous, plus Nani isn't what he used to be.They did control the game against Albania but were so ineffective in the box (4 vs. 2 shots) and Albania did miss some of best players like Mehaj etc.
This group is unpredictable now as next game will be Albania-Denmark I think,we all now playing against Albanians at home is very difficult.Games against Serbia will be fiery and unpredictable.Any team can get at least the 3rd spot.

Swedish line up vs Austria:
Andreas Isaksson
------------
Pierre Bengtsson
Andreas Granqvist
Mikael Antonsson
Martin Olsson
-----------------
Sebastian Larsson
Kim Källström
Albin Ekdal
-----------
Jimmy Durmaz
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Erkan Zengin
Nice line up, too bad we have such an awful defence. That attack can score against any team. Hope we can stop Alaba. We let him do too much last time

Spain vs. Macedonia:
Casillas; Juanfran, Ramos, Albiol, Jordi Alba; Busquets, Koke, Cesc; Silva, Alcácer y Pedro
Casillas, Juanfran, Albiol could all be replaced by DDG, Carvajal and Bartra, especially against Macedonia. I guess starting Alcácer during Costa's injury is the furthest del Lippi will go in terms of building around youth.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Carvajal was injured and so was pique. The other options are Azpilucueta and San Jose now tell me who you'd rather play. Vdb gave Iker his debut, it is his last good memory of Madrid lol he isn't going to drop him until Iker retiresFußball wrote:Spain vs. Macedonia:

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Ullevaal Stadium is sold out and hasnt seen this many people since 1991 when Norway last met Italy (and actually beat them 2-1). It is shaping up to be the most exciting game in many years as a Norwegian, and so even though the squad is very weak and our nation is unable to produce any real talent anymore, I am sure they are going to give their absolute max today, so I hope Italy are not coming here for a relaxing draw. (Though it might work anyway lol).
Players to watch for Norway: Mats Møller Dæhli from Cardiff and Joshua King in attack (the black kid with a father from Gambia, and barely playing for his scrub club Blackburn which he wants to get out of). Both have been owned by Manu and they got some pace.
Hoping for a good intense game!

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Italy have a tendency to play tight games regardless of the quality of their opposition, either winning or losing by a single goal or drawing. Norway should have a chance.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Our group is the only one with 5 teams in it, each team that doesn't play a qualification game will play a friendly against the host (France). Serbia played with them a few days ago and it finished 1-1. Anyway we should finish top in this group, I don't expect anything less.

Re: EURO 2016 qualifiers
Paulo Bento and Portugal part ways by "mutual decision".
Good, about time. At least they didnt let it drag on until the inevitable situation of them failing to qualify under that clown.
