Even if he's past his best, aging, he's still worth way way way more than 3m in this market, and Napoli/Arsenal/etc for one were interested according to all interested according to respectable sources.

I don't think Agger wouldn't have market , I didn't know this his desire to come back in Denmark so I was surprised Napoli didn't try to take him considering also their manager is Benitez.
Anyway for me it's better so because he would have been a massive upgrade for them , no doubts about it. Although I rate exagerrated this general concept (and enough  shallow ) where basically " Anyone would rape Serie A " (and not only foreign users think it lol even we Italians mistreat exceedingly Serie A  )  , for example I think it easier to imagine a Forlan-esque impact of Torres than Gervinho-esque impact, but Agger is different, he is not totally finished and  I don't think Napoli will improve his defence with players as Koulibaly

Midfield is still weak especially a midfield 2, and their wing backs which are so sooo damn important (take it from a juve fan) and they're either not ready I.E Shaw or shit I.E Valencia.

Oh and they're having to adapt to an entirely new way of playing

He'll probably go back to 4-3-3 when he realises 3 at the back doesn't work in the PL.
