Actually, Ibra was the one looking like Torres. In fact, i don't remember Torres missing a pen, an open net AND diving in the same game... that's a 2-game performance for Torres

that's a false statement btw.  Cavani started the season great last year....  Scored 14 league goals and was 2nd behind Ibra by December.  What happened to him is that he got injured and then had to deal with a divorce in Uruguay.  So he missed a month in Dec-Jan and then he was out all of February.  He lost form by himself.  PSG adjusted to Cavani not being there and were very successful.  There's no way that they were going to adjust back in March for Cavani when things were going well...  and Cavani became marginalized as a result.

With any elite club...  you miss 2 out of 3 months from Dec through Feb and the club is going to move on.  It's up to you to fit back in at that point.

Despite that, Cavani ended up with 25 goals all comps. But 19 of them came before the start of 2014.
