Re: Original Origi || The Divock of the People
I still don't see him becoming good enough to be our first-choice, but he's in a good moment right now, let's see where it goes.

Re: Original Origi || The Divock of the People
He does so much so well. His problem has been his composure in front of goal. The strike against Dortmund, while taking a deflection, showed a calmness and composure that we haven't seen as often from him. Luckily, he's only 20 years old. The type of composure we're talking about here, is something that takes time to develop at the top level. He's shown his ability to finish. Other LFC players have been quoted attesting to his ability in training, and we've seen his ability when playing centrally for Lille. I think his finishing is just the last aspect of his game that he's trying to apply to his play in the Premier League (and International level).
Th biggest question is how quickly can he be "ready". Origi's development is only one piece of the larger conundrum that is Liverpool's attack next season. Aspects like available transfer targets (see: Gotze, Lacazette, Lucas Moura, Ousmane Dembele), Sturridge's form, Firmino's best position, Lallana's inclusion, etc. will shape how we line up next season. However, Origi's development will be a significant factor in Klopp's decision-making.

He's already been our first choice and we've looked so much better for it. His movement and workrate, hold up ability and desire are very clear. He just works a bit on his composure and he could bang in 20 next season.

Tbh I have to admit I was wrong about origi. When we signed him I thought it was a waste of time and money but the lad has tallent. I think he will have a good season.

Just 641 mins on the pitch. Just six goals, and four of which ensured an amazing title-chase and European Final. Talk about quality over quantity.

Divock Origi has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Liverpool, marking the latest milestone in a strange, up-and-down career at Anfield.
How long???

Re: Original Origi || The Divock of the People
Are we really going to go into the season with Origi as Firmino's back-up and have only two senior strikers? You've got to like Divock for the CL goals last season, but I don't think he's good enough to be our 2nd-choice striker.

Re: Original Origi || The Divock of the People
You absolutely need to reinforce the attack.
Bring in a little fresh blood, don't let the front three become stale.
Sturridge has left too. Shaqiri is ok but ultimately just not the required level.
I would buy Werner if I was Klopp.

Yeah, it's annoying to see no backups coming in for the fullback and attacking positions. It's not like we would be stacking-up, these are bare necessities.
So far, we got two teenagers

Re: Original Origi || The Divock of the People
Apparently Klopp trusts Brewster to be Firmino's back-up next season, Origi is more of a back-up for Mane as he played a lot as a LW last season, even as a CF he was switching a lot and going to the wing. Brewster is still young though, we need proven players for attacking depth but I doubt it's gonna happen, if we had any targets this summer we would likely sign at least 1 already or negotiate for them, but nothing happened so far.

Amazing how sharp this lad was last night, even though he plays only occasionally. Top lad.

He could be a 20+ goals a season striker in another team
