modify/extend his contract with a raise to get rid of the 2015 clause, yes. They've been negotiating about that for a few months now.

Schneiderlin would never do that to Southampton... you gotta understand, he helped them go from 3rd div, to 2nd div and then the EPL. I bet you he wants to do his best that they don't get relegated this season... and then move on.

He's a different kind of dude.

I read the news earlier, that Giroud has 2 years left and Arsenal have opened talks. My question is why? He's doing an OK job, but surely in a two years' time they could find better strikers.

even if they could, why let him leave? or be forced into a situation were his release price would be lower than what it can be if he is on a longer contract.

In the world cup, Origi looked exactly like Arsenal fans tell themselves Sanogo looks, but doesn't really lol.
Sanogo is a tank in the box too and occupies defenders, but Origi had some pretty good MOVES.

That's only based on the minimal world cup game time I saw, of course.

But I agree with Nick, getting him for 10m and letting him stay on loan where he already is for the moment, cannot possibly be a bad idea.
It might prove to be a great catch, and it really is not that much of a risk lol.

Sanogo can't even strike the ball properly. Origi has tons more talent. He's an idiot for moving to Liverpool by the way.

Except that his club is odds on to get relegated after selling all their best players all their players as he comes home from vacation Laughing he's probably pissed and he should be.

After being linked all summer, multiple reports come out that Schneiderlin is close to a move to Spurs. All of a sudden the chair comes out and says he's not leaving, blocking him from the luxury that was so easily granted to many other Soton players. A couple hours later and Schneiderlin goes public with a disrespectful and angry tweet.

I could easily be wrong, but it looks like someone is angry his move might not happen. You might say he's "not that dude", and maybe he isn't, but the tweet already suggests otherwise. I'll wait for events to play out further.

Regardless, this has just turned into a fairly juicy transfer story.

Why not let him leave? He has hardly been irreplaceable for a club with league-winning aspirations. And they could still have him for two more years. I simply don't seen why they would need him in 2016. They are hardly going to get rich by selling him, either.

Giroud is the only natural CF at the club atm, he is a good player. Nothing special but he is good. Until arsenal find the opportunity to sign a better player, it's smart not to mess with what they have. The moment a top player gets there, Giroud will be dispaced and then if he is not happy, he can go.

It would also mean that in the unlikely event Giroud becomes a great striker in the next couple of years we've got him tied down and won't end up in another van Persie situation.

Carrasco was benched the last 3 months of the season as he was surpassed by Martial, Germain and Berbatov.  So far, Monaco has lost James from the players that played to finish the year... with Abidal and Riviere.  Riviere was done with Falcao returning and Berbatov signed.  Abidal was done period as Addennour has takent over.

Monaco have signed a couple of great kids and are waiting for the market to settle down...  no need to overpay for Sneijder by rushing.  It's going to be the starting XI that finished the season - James and Obadi + Falcao, Sneijder and Kondogbia.  I don't see what the issue is.

OM have blitzed Leverkusen, Benfica and Willem (Dutch league)...  11 gf and 2 ga in 3 games.  Look awesome.  Signed the top scorer in Belgian league who is only 20 and looks like a stud.

Lyon...  it's going to be like this until the new stadium opens.  Been like this for a while.  Team looks better than last year though.  The kids have experience now and are playing better.  Beat Chaktar Donetsk 4-1 in preseason and drew Sevilla.

PSG have signed Luiz and Aurier while losing Alex, Menez and Jallet Laughing

Ignorance is bliss i guess...  but keep it coming.

Dzeko was been earning some amount since he signed his last contract. However, he has been linked to leave City every summer and as being "unhappy" except this summer.

Mancini way of handling players/Staff/youth is more or less what got him sacked. No one at the Club was sadden by his dismissal except for small faction of the fans. Even City used the phrase lack of Holistic approach. Which cause the whole #Holistic laugh on twitter.

City's Statement wrote: "identified need to develop a holistic approach to all aspects of football at the club"

And why you see #Together used by the club a lot, Even on the side of the Bus in the trophy parades. City is local club that supports the local people of Manchester and together we will go far Proud
