New Juventus signing Patrice Evra is delighted to have linked up again with Carlos Tevez, describing his former Manchester United teammate as like a brother.

In a Twitter question and answer session with Old Lady fans, the Frenchman also revealed the reason for his decision to move to Italy and the identity of the best player he has played with.

“I came to Juve because I knew they are a big club but also a big family,” Evra said. “It’s been exciting to link up with Carlos Tevez again.

“For me he is like a brother, it is as if we were never separated.

“The best player I have ever played with is without doubt Ryan Giggs, he was able to stay at a high level for a long time. He is a legend.”

The left-back then told fans he has already devised a nickname for new teammate Andrea Pirlo

“Out of the players in my current team, I admire Andrea Pirlo. I call him ‘Maestro’ for his ability to put the ball where he wants.”

Finally, Evra answered questions on what he will offer Juve this season, his ability to play in a 3-5-2 system and the current situation Italian football finds itself in.

“My crosses for a player like Llorente could be an important weapon, it is always a pleasure to play with players like him.

“I started my career playing largely within the 3-5-2 system but then I adapted to playing in a four man defence.

“I can do well with both systems of play.

“Italian football is in difficulty by it can revive itself. It needs work, of course, but Juve can be the driver of the whole movement.”

The good thing is that evra is a champion, and he can have good chemistry with other champions like himself, like pirlo buffon tevez etc...

Evra sure adds personality and expertise on the team

It is what you need to have, guys like buffon, evra, alves, to add that champions kind of personality charisma or how you call

I just have a problem with evra for benching alex sandro, he is a good player, 25 million sitting on the bench is not logical to me

One of these guys had to go out on the summer, you dont want 25 million player sitting on the bench you either use that or cash that hope to bring a starting xi player

Evra, true class. A Champion. Pogba could learn a lot from him. Too bad he chose to go to a Europa League team versus staying at Juve and going for Champions League glory with his uncle Evra.

Pogba will regret the day he left Juve. Mark my words...

All players could learn a thing or two from Zio Pat

I remember during Juventus' poor start to the season this past season and it was Evra who emerged as a dominant leader and personality. I remember him saying something along the lines that you have to understand the importance of wearing the shirt of Juventus- in reference to players' lack of effort and poor performances. I can only guess it was in reference to waste of space Hernanes.

@luciano, I think Allegri did a good job at rotating both Sandro and Evra, you don't simply throw a player as quality as Evra onto the bench and defensively, Sandro can improve. Not to mention there were many instances that both Sandro and Evra played together, with one coming on as a substitute to give us a bit more wing action Molenation
