Re: Pre-Season 2014
yea essien even muntari should be out, wasnt he responsible for the goal?? i know muntari is always a liability in loosing ball and making horrible passes..
how the hell bonera constant muntari zaccardo are still there is beyond me...
cristante played better. he should be monto's replacement for time being. with de jong and poli in lineup
and niang shows lot of potential but he sucks at finishing and making chances..

Gabriel is too reckless. This isn't the first time he injures our own player due to his lack of communication.

Re: Pre-Season 2014
Even when he hasn't injured one of his own he's shown incredibly poor judgement when rushing out in the past, it's one of his greatest weaknesses. I feel it would be harsh to criticise him too much given that it takes a great deal of consistent game time with a consistent back line to truly develop not simply communication but trust between a keeper and his back line, time which Gabriel has never had, but it is nonetheless frustrating and the downside to having an inexperienced back-up.
Also Abbiati wasted his biannual penalty save on a friendly, great.

i know right? the last time he played his best football was like 2 years ago.
i feel that reason why essien was recommended is because of our ghanian associates (you know who they are).

Re: Pre-Season 2014
I can understand that pre-season is mainly to gain good match fitness and preparation for new season, alarm bell is ringing already. It's a test to see our weakness, and it has come from defense and midfield, and our management has been really ignorant.
I still cant believe that galliani is making cerci our only real hope. i even start to sense something like cerci deal is not there whatsoever just to make milan fans feel like they tried everything they could to sign him.
What's even more appalling is that our management fails to even explore vast range of alternatives.
If we have galliani, and he has a stature of more than 30 years of experience in football, and yet couldn't even find a decent solution to this problem that we are having, then I would want him to be out of Milan.
What is even annoying is that our management are only concerned about their own stature than the position of the club.
I even have problems with our management who has failed for past 5 years to see that Milan has players who cant even play basic fundamental technical football.
I remember nesta saying, and he said in reference to finding a next new italian defender that, "Technique is fundamental, it is the basic need to in route to become a good footballer, and in time tactics and guidance will make them play better"
Nesta is so right on that. We have players who cant even play basic fundamental football....
bonera, muntari, constant, zaccardo, list goes on...
so, going again back to pre-season, I am afraid, that this result is showing that Milan have serious problems in defense and midfield and if galliani ignores it, Milan is in for another disastrous season.
Anything other than Milan failing to qualify for CL, I am saying again, Galliani's head should be on the line this time around.
Sure Berlusconi is also massively responsible but I would first want the people who bring this ridiculous players in the club to be fired first! money isn't necessarily the cause of the downfall of this club.

It nearly brings me to tears to think we're paying him 3 million euros a year after tax.

If I was actually Roman, I'd give you guys so many players for a couple of years to rebuild the empire .
Cech for a start... Atsu, Piazon etc etc

Re: Pre-Season 2014
I honestly don't understand Berlusconi, he can spend very little compared to his wealth, and the whole team will become competitive. Also, he will probably make back double the amount of money due to sponsorships and trophies. I really hope the club is sold to an investor willing to invest into the team.

Re: Pre-Season 2014
From the Mercato thread
We don't even need an investment from Berlusconi at all. 63 m spent over 2 summers ffs, we have to use our funds effectively and efficiently. I'm not even touching the surface on this ffs, our wage allocation has to be the worst in Europe.
El Shaarawy wrote:Rossoneri Ninja wrote:
Question to all: how much do you think we'll end up spending this transfer season? My estimate around 20 mil
Same, something around 20-25m probably. In the same manner as Dost mentioned, little deals that will amount to nothing but bulging our squad.
Summer 2012:
Constant 4m
Acerbi 4m
Pazzini 12m (It was a swap with Cassano, don't know the real figure)
De Jong 6m
Salamon 4m
Niang 3m
Total: 33m
Summer 2013:
Zapata 6m
Poli 4m
Matri 12m
Saponara 4m
Vergara 4m
Total: 30m
We've actually spent more than 20 m in the past 2 seasons lol

Valencia 1-0 Milan
Zapata passes it to some Valencia player who chips the ball over an out of positioned Diego Lopez, nice goal.

I hate the defensive shape 4-5-1. Hopefully when we sign Cerci we can switch it to a 4-4-2.

Re: Pre-Season 2014
Uh.. did Madrid give us a crocked GK?
Diego Lopez has been *bleep* awful, caught out of position on the first goal and got beat at his near post for the second.
His passing from the back, has been bad as well.
Defense ain't no better tho

Re: Pre-Season 2014
im not worried that much about diego lopez... he just arrived a week ago.
besides zapata made awful mistake. and in second goal it was poor defending by abate allowing cross that flew towards albeterazzi and his poor clearance cost us goal.
and very shaky from zapata and bonera again...
i can only hope that inzaghi is field testing this team... nothing sort of considering to put some of players in our opening game.
honda despite that spectacular goal has been poor i think he is better off as deep lying playmaker.
cristante and poli is ok but want to see more of them involved in build up play... passing alone is not making this midfield look any good.
i liked el shaarawy though... he is not just sitting duck like other players he is moving a lot, and tracking back and helping in build up from the back...
thast kind of work ethic i would expect from every player..
this shows that milan really needs quality midfielder.. and we can only pray that the likes of de jong el sharawwy monto stay fits, rami alex would be permanent CBs and hopefully put some steel.
and i dont know what happened to abate he has been piss poor for a long time now.
seeing the likes of juventus napoli fiorentina and roma strengthening, i dont see how milan can finish at top 4.. we are top 5-6 at best.
