It's certainly possible for us to sneak into 4th. It is, however, quite unlikely. I can't see us managing it without winning every single match in the run-in, and unfortunately I can't really see us winning at The Bridge.

At this time who cares what happens in the end, all that matters is we are back in IT Proud
Bte the good thing can be, by the time we face Chelsea, they would have won the title so who knows!!

I think the most important thing will be actually taking our chances against Chelsea, to be honest their actual set up doesn't scare me as Mourinho doesn't make the most of his team anyway. We've already taken it to them at the Bridge this year and if we had any finish at the time we would have probably won. That said we've been in search for finish all season. I would be happy with a draw, and it's certainly doable if we play like we can, but I'd like to see a win.

United are losing again, Why did not turn up the last two PL games?

Could have been 4th by now.

Man, that 1 - 2 loss to United, god damn... If we even just drew it, they would be just one point ahead of us now. That fourth spot has been so very up for grabs that it's so damn frustrating to find ourselves in fifth place.

United still have Arsenal to play. We can definitely make it more interesting if we win our last 3 games.

But I can't see coward Rodgers getting anything out of the Bridge. He loves to bend over for his pal Mourinho. Chelsea clinching the title against us is going to pour the salt on the wound.

Yeah because we've bent over for Chelsea all season James. This team is full of cowards and run by cowards but some of the fans are even worse. Drink your cranberry juice and stfu already.

To think even after losing to arsenal and united, the Hull and WBA points will cost us top 4, FML, honestly there is no excuses for not finishing top 4, Rodgers better hope to fluke a a good finish.

Well top 4 ain't possible this year . . but considering how sh** ManU is this year it hurts not to be above them. Sad Just a single striker and we would have been comfortably in CL Sad

It's not just our weak striker department, when we watch our team attack in any other form than counter-attacks, it's slow and laboured and out of sync. It's not about who is the striker, it's the whole team, the whole system.

Agreed but what i meant to say was a single striker would have pulled off a top 4 place considering how sh** it has been amongst teams fighting for the position

No Art, I have seen in three seasons that Rodgers style with the known limitations relies on striker movement and there by space creation for others. So Fahim is right, a striker would have definitely put us in top 4 :coffee:

Yes with a proper striker there would have been far better runs and positioning than the Halfwit Balo or the Immobile Lambert . . . even if our very own Abu Diaby would have been fit for a little while longer, it would have lifted the performances of all three of Coutinho, Hendo & Stevie because then they would have passes to make in spaces where it would have counted.

Hopefully we play our kids and fringe players against you..

The lads don't really have much to play for now so I'd expect you lot to win if that's the case. With the lineups.

Mourinho has been rotating so little that maybe he now will play some of the fringe players. I don't see him starting kids, though, so if he rotates it will be guys like Filipe Luis, Remy, Cuadrado and Mikel, so not that much easier for us.
