What do you mean "don't expect help in the Swans v Blues game"? I'd say Chelsea are favorites to win and that's what we should hope for.
I'll also be disappointed if none of ManU, Tottenham, Southampton or West Ham drop points. The PL is unpredictable and statistically speaking, out of four favorites, not everyone usually wins.

Swansea isn't much of a competition (for us) specially with Bony gone. What do you mean "don't expect help in the Swans v Blues game"? I'd say Chelsea are favorites to win and that's what we should hope for.

Also I think QPR will beat United at home. If I was betting man, I'd bet on it.

Leroy Fer has actually been buzzing lately. With how fragile United have seemed in midfield this season he could put the hurt on them.

With limited funds, by the way. 3 years later with your love child, who exactly do we have? We've been carried by a 20 year old kid for most of the season ffs. And he's actually been BACKED by the manager.
With that said I'm not saying that Rafa didn't do well to get most of those players, but if you want to compare what Rafa had to work with versus what Rodgers has had to work with it's a completely different situation. On top of which Benitez wasn't dealing with a transfer committee (limited funds or not). Also there are a number of players that Rodgers has bought that look like they will become class, or are already showing their ability. Keep in mind the season that you were talking about was not the first season in Liverpool for all of those players -- this is Rodgers' first season with the players he bought.
Dude. We're financial stable now. Rodgers has every right to do "keep" his side at his disposal. Again, this is his third season. He hasn't exactly "built" a team in 3 years, no? So yeah, keep in mind I was comparing THEIR TIME at the club.
Rafa was managing us when we were in debt. He actually managed to keep his core at the club.
As for this committee, Rodgers MADE the committee. Their his scouts. Their his targets. He gets the final say on EVERYTHING. Ayre is only in their to negotiate.
The only players his bought that will look "class" are Coutinho and Sturridge. And the latter is more injury prone than Fernando Torres ffs.
By class I mean genuinely world class and not "good".

Re: Rival Thread: 2014-15
^ I'm not one to defend Rodgers' signings, but it's totally bogus to say Rodgers created the committee.
The committee was created by FSG and consists of: Rodgers, Ayre, Head of Statistical Analysis (hired by FSG), Chief scout (the one FSG took from City), and some other asshole.

Okay, might have used the wrong words there.
FSG definitely made the committee a thing, but every single man in there listens down to Rodgers.
He gets the first and final say.
Rodgers played apart in getting the scouts from City...

Rodgers words.“They were appointments I was fully aware of. I’ve known Barry for a long time and Dave also. Dave was already in the offing to come here. From Dave’s position, he would only accept the job if someone like myself was coming in.”

Re: Rival Thread: 2014-15
Well it seems we would be stuck in 8th this week too. But with aa good run of form in our side plus some direct rivals to face in the coming weeks. Going up the table isn't much of a pipe dream

Disappointing that Southampton, Tottenham and United all won. Hull might be able to do us a favour, still, and City are always likely to win at home.

We are still eighth in the table
As I said, it is not so easy that our rivals will drop points...H2H is going to be so crucial

Chelsea and City are *bleep* useless chokers. Only time I ever rooted for them to beat someone (vs Spurs and Arsenal) and they both choked like 2 cent hookers.

They're not exactly challenging us in the table any longer, but Everton's season continues to bring a smile to my face.
