@Nick, apart from Origi there aren't many back up strikers we could get for little money. Who else are available??? Iturbe seems to be going to Juve, Rodrigo will cost us an arm and a leg. I think Carlo was happy going into the season with things unchanged at the top but Morata wanting to leave changed it, so getting Origi won't be a problem for Carlo imo. We could always stick Jese there if he flops. 12 ME gives us room for failure.

If we sell Khedira we are going to need yet another midfielder. It looks like we will get a new midfield next season, so much for stability eh. But I am not going to say no to 30 ME for a guy in his last year

That's why i told you not to take word for word what he says about young player. We need an experienced back up, who ever has the quality should be signed, age shouldnt be a factor.

Di Maria is not gone yet, our midfield is still untouched until he is gone. Khedira is a depth player, if we get near 30 mil for him it's happy news, we will replace him.

I know he is a dependable guy that's very consistent but i am not sure hwy people act as if Khedira leaving is dramatic, been 4 years in madrid and he didnt do much tbh.

The person who broke the Sanchez to Arsenal story, is saying we are preparing a 44M (pounds) bid for Reus. that's almost 1.8 times the amount of the clause for next summer. Be interested to see if it actually goes in.

Even with Markovic, I still think Liverpool need a goalscoring winger if it's a 4-3-3 they're going play.

A team should always have at least 2 goalscorers starting imo.

Sterling? He got 10 this year. I dont see us trusting Sturridge right now. He'll probs be WC later but as of now he is inconsistent to lead the line like Suarez. Coutinho too needs to sort out his consistency issue.

We might end up replacing Suarez in numbers ie Bony, Remy, another winger etc.

We havnt signed a defender yet as well , Lot of time to go though.

All due respect but how good could any players Newcastle sell possibly be at this point? Any players Newcastle stand to lose can probably be replaced decently enough.

The EPL bottom ten is of super poor quality imo. All you have to do is at least guarantee that you finish tenth like you always do.

If you can do that then you can focus on a proper cup run and a chance to win a trophy. That should be the target for next season imo

Despite the tweet by Tony Barrett earlier today, I have it on very good authority (not joking this time. It's a guy in this forum who has gotten things right time and time again- reported Suarez to Barca back in freaking April !!), that we're going to make a good attempt for Reus. Funny thing is, Liverpool never deny interest in a player, so it's so fishy that all of a sudden Times reported "Liverpool are baffled by the link". More development expected next week when we have officially tied and signed Markovic/Moreno deals.

Don't think we need to reach those particular scoring heights to be competitive. Last season was an anomaly. Just need to improve the defense and have game changers in the team. And all of those are capable of a little spark.

Reus, however unlikely, would arguably make us even better than we were with Suarez.
