Yes RG, i am disappointed by the club. I know Di maria acted like a petulant brat asking for a new deal but i think it was our responsibility to have maturely and to do what's right. Give him a proper contract worthy of his quality as one of our top midfielder.

But it's also true that if he is being offered 8+ millions euros by PSG and want us to match that, then the club is not going to do it.

I can get over selling him, it's how he is being replaced that bothers me.

@Red, i didnt mean it as it's some kind of an exchange, rather a show that both clubs are discussing and players could go either way.

Well, you said it was "part of the Moreno deal" which is patently untrue if the deals are, as reports indicate, independent. On top of that, the Moreno deal is looking quite unlikely, and getting more so with each passing day.

Another signing UTD fans were fapping over being hijacked/not taking place if true.

Surely after Luiz and possibly Di Maria, they need a high profile sale to comply with FFP? Pastore won't fetch that much, Lavezzi would get what 15-20M max?

well, they need to bring in 50 millions because Uefa told them they could spend at most 60 millions, and they had to sell to buy for more signings.

They can sell Marquinhos for a lot of money to barca, and one of lavezzi or pastore. Problem is that they wouldnt have a proper back up CB, they will have to sell some more to sign Aurier, and without lavezzi or pastore they lose depth. I am not sure how they will handle all of it.

But I don't know how eager they'll be to sell him. Whenever Ibra's done he's the obvious replacement in terms of position. They'd have to go and make a Cavani-esque purchase all over again in a couple of years.

that cavani thing is coming off twitter right kick? i know the journalist that suggested it, he didnt say that as if he had some kind of knowledge of the situation. PSG are reportedly negotiating to sign Aurier for 10 mil. that would mean they need 60 mil in to sign Di Maria.

Actually I don't think Cavani plays well with another forward. He doesn't play well with Suarez with the NT and he didn't really shine with Ibra.

i don't think we wanted to sell di maria; as far as i know, before the world cup, there were whispers of us offering him a new deal. I think its more a case of di maria wanting to leave

Granted.. finding someone willing to pay his wages may not be easy.

@windkick - Cavani seems to play well with Suarez for Uruguay to me.. I'll be honest I didn't see enough of him at Napoli - don't even know what system they played domestically then - but thought he beasted it whilst partnered with Lavezzi?
