McAgger clearly hasn't listened to the latest TAW podcast, for better or worse.

Don't call me James wrote:I think 2m is very low for Kelly. Bartrand went for 8m ffs. And Kelly imo is still a very solid player. I think we should've loaned him out and sold him after he's raised his stock.
But good luck to him nonetheless. Always liked him but unfortunately the knee injury ruined his chances with us.

I think 2m for Kelly is reasonable as it was obvious we had no plans for him, signing all these defenders. Yeah, if all goes well, he might become a player worth more than 2m. But he's 24 and he wasn't going to become that at Liverpool. Also, the problem with him is that I think he's more of a CB, but he's become known as RB. I don't believe he will become a PL level RB, but CB, maybe. It will be interesting to see where Pulis is going to play him.

Kolo Toure's Liverpool FC career looks to be coming to and end with Turkish side Trabzonspor claiming they are close to completing his signing.
The 33-year-old defender joined the Reds last summer on a free transfer after being released by Manchester City.
Toure joined on a two-year deal but just over 12 months into his contract the Reds appear ready to sell him.
Reports suggest that Liverpool have agreed a transfer that will pocket them around £1.6m for the Ivory Coast international.
Trabzonspor president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu is quoted as saying: “We are building the type of squad which we promised to the fans.
“We have agreed terms with Kolo Toure and we will bring him to the club.”
Toure has made 24 appearances for Liverpool.
@ the gif
I would still find it strange if Kolo fancied a move to Tourekey (horrible, I know, sorry), unless he has had some "I gotta play as much as I can for these last few years of my career" revelation. Still not believing it'll happen.

I like Kolo. He's very good for the dressing room. Great guy that everyone likes. Wouldn't mind at all having him around for another year.
I just don't want him playing is all.

Pearce: LFC have not made an offer to Eto’o. His age and his wage demands means they are currently pursuing other more attractive options.
They would only look to Eto’o in the closing days of the window if their striker search has been unsuccessful. [James Pearce - Echo]

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
Liverpool keen on tying up loan deal for Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero
The Reds are looking to take Sergio Romero to the club on loan
Romero was impressive for Argentina during the World Cup in Brazil
If a deal can be struck Romero would provide competition to the club's No 1 keeper Simon Mignolet
Liverpool are showing an interest in Sampdoria's Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero who could leave on loan.
Romero was Argentina's hero in the penalty shoot-out with Holland at the World Cup.
The 27-year-old was named on the three-man shortlist for FIFA's Golden Glove award for the tournament's best goalkeeper as a result, losing out to Germany's Manuel Neuer.
He had a spell on loan at Monaco last season but they have not taken up an option to make the deal permanent.
Liverpool are in need of a goalkeeper to challenge Simon Mignolet for the No 1 spot after Pepe Reina left the club to join Bayern Munich for £2million last week.
And they believe Romero, who has 54 caps for his country, is the right man to fill the void this summer, as Brendan Rodgers' side look to build on the steady progression they made last season.

The funny thing is this line-up would probably challenge for top 7 with a competent manager.

Would be sad if we SELL Coates. He was quiet decent in the pre-seasons. Was expecting him and Ilori to be back-ups next season. A loan, on the other hand, would be awesome. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Coates' Liverpool career has been all but over for ages... one decent preseason won't change that IMO.

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
Tbh if you think about it Red, Agger is most likely gone this summer. Kolo's contract is over next summer and Skrtel is on a very thin line cobsidering his form and age.
That leaves us with Lovren, Sakho, Ilori and Coates as the 4 CBs starting 2015-16.
It kind of makes sense if we loaned him out. I just can't see us buying another CB next summer for the 3rd summer in a row.
