In all seriousness though, think we're finally edging closer and might actually get Moreno. Better than both Bertrand and Davies even if not the most ideal solution like a complete LB like RicRod would be. Good news nevertheless.

James Pearce:

Lazar Markovic's £20million move from Benfica to Liverpool will be confirmed on Tuesday after the Serbian winger completed his medical.

Wisdom is wanted on loan by West Brom but the 21-year-old is expected to be in Rodgers' squad for Wednesday's friendly against Brondby.

Left-back Smith could also depart to gain experience this season with Swindon Town keen to secure his services on a temporary basis.

Assaidi:

The future of Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi remains uncertain with Stoke City still unwilling to meet the £7million asking price.

The Moroccan spent last season on loan at the Britannia Stadium and Potters boss Mark Hughes wants to keep him.

“He's someone we know and someone we know can have an impact so, yes, we would like to see if something can be done with Ossie,” Hughes said.

“But obviously he isn't our player and that means the ball is in Liverpool's court.”

Liverpool could be set to reinvest £32m from the sale of Luis Suarez to sign Turkish midfielder Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid.[Express]

The transfer window is now complete

How would you rate this window if our transfers are:
1. Lambert
2. Lallana
3. Emre
4. Markovic
5. Bony (GBP 20 mil)
6. Lovren (GBP 20 mil)
7. Moreno (GBP 20 mil)

I would be pretty happy is the later three cost between GBP 40-45 mil.

Brendan Rodgers' men had been chasing Alexis Sanchez but he signed for the Gunners last week. Now Liverpool are looking for alternatives and, according to French outlet Mercato 365, Rodgers is keen on Lacazette.

The forward is understood to be on the Liverpool manager's shortlist of attacking options and Lyon are thought ready to sell Lacazette for the right price.

The 23-year-old has also been interesting Newcastle United, however he is only willing to leave Lyon for a team in the Champions League, a box the Magpies cannot tick.
Would take Lacazette for sure.

I know someone that follows L1 closely that thinks highly of him. Not a world beater, but definitely talented with room to improve. He's scored at every level for the French NT, and just had a very productive season as a striker (but again, iso ne of those really versatile players that Rodgers likes) in L1 for Lyon. This is also not the first time we've been linked with him.
