Who will advance to the semi-finals?
Quarter-Final: Brazil vs Colombia
We know the first match-up of 1/4. Who do you think will go through? I'm picking with my heart - Colombia to knock Brazil out.
Kick-off time: 4 July 2014 22:00 CET
Stadium: Estádio Castelão, Fortaleza

We will be without Gustavo and Nerman, pray for us.Cuadrado and Hames will have the game of their lives.2-1 and we are out.

So Nerman is really injured? Is that official?

If Nerman is out then Colombia win, if he plays i'm not sure.
Will be a fantastic game regardless.

Re: Quarter-Final: Brazil vs Colombia
I still see Brazil edging this. As good as Columbia are I think they will face entirely new circumstances in this game and that could end up going against them.
Playing a host country who is a contender is never easy.

I largely agree. Colombia is in unchartered territory. Brazil may not be shining but seem capable of doing the needful. Hoping for an upset but not expecting one just as I was in Brazil vs. Chile.
Re: Quarter-Final: Brazil vs Colombia
With Hames on steroids Columbia have a chance tbh even if Neymar plays or not

Agree with everything you said and will add one more point. From their very first match I have noticed a weakness in Colombia that I am not sure how others perceive. I feel like they are not very good at keeping the ball. Even when they are on top they concede the ball quite easily to the opposition. Chile I thought were better in this aspect but tonight even they gave away the ball quite easily.
Re: Quarter-Final: Brazil vs Colombia
Colombia are looking good, but please let's not forget Costa Rica too won with a two goal difference against Uruguay.
Uruguay are just not that great.
Plus Colombia had a if not poor, yet quite mediocre group.
They look good but you know ... they now are instant favourites against Brazil according to GL
Just as US are favourites against Belgium apparently, who in turn where dark horses a couple of weeks ago
This forum only has short time memory it seems, everything that is more than 2 days ago is immediately pushed away by EXCITING NEW impressions lol

It'll be interesting to see how Columbia cope with Brazil in that respect. Despite all the "Brazil are not convincing" comments I think one thing Brazil are really good at is indeed ball retention.

This will be very tough for us.
At this point all we are trying to do is make history.
Will be an amazing game.

Here is a an exciting new impression for you. I think Germany will get knocked out by Algeria, at least you better hope you do because you guys don't want any part of France imo.

Re: Quarter-Final: Brazil vs Colombia
Not really Hans, its just Neymar and Gustavo possibly missing is a giant miss for Brazil and they lose a lot of quality.
Assuming Neymar can't make it of course.

If Neymar doesn't play I guarantee you Brazil go out.
He's literally the only creative spark they have. Oscar the most un-creative AM in history of Brazilian WC football.

Re: Quarter-Final: Brazil vs Colombia
I think Oscar might lose his position to Willian, he is scrubbing way too much.Same for Alves.Even with all these changes, our midfield will have no DM which means Colombia have a free way.TS and DL will need to have the game of their lives.
