My Love vs My Passion
Will support both equally. A combination of Fufu and Boulette d'Avesnes when the match is on

Re: Last 16: France(1E) Vs Nigeria(2F) - 30th June
We got this without a doubt... were able to rest Valbuena, both our starting fullbacks, Cabaye and Varane. So we'll be relatively fresh.
Expect the following lineup:
Lloris
Debuchy - Varane - Sakho (or Kos if injured) - Evra
Sissoko - Cabaye - Matuidi
Valbuena - Giroud - Benz
Sissoko over Pogba because Pogba is a bit too erratic imo. I think this WC is too early for him on a team like France. Sissoko is more limited, but more constant.

Expecting much better football from France with Debuchy, Cabaye, Valbuena and Giroud allowing Benz to roam more coming back in.
Will probably win relatively easily.

Nah won't be that easy. Nigeria are somehow getting better with each game. Never thought I'd say this but Obi Mikel has been driving them forward while Musa and Emenike are hitting form at the right time. Not to mention babatunde who should have started the first game against Iran.
France should win this, but it will be their most difficult game yet imo.

The further you go in the competition, the harder it gets.
France should win this game even if I know Enyeama is insane and he will probably saves great shots.

Reporter: This game was far less fluid than the last 2
Deschamps: We made a lot of changes. I could have played the same players for this game too other than Johan. But you need to get everyone involved when you can. If i didn't make the changes, the other players would have thought that they served no purpose. You need to find balance in the squad. Although we were less cohesive in our game, we achieved some other important goals.

So that's Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria now threatening boycotts or carrying them out over money.

And the ignorant have spoken.... not suprising either. All but 2 of the 23 players on France NT for WC 2014 were born in France. The two who weren't are Evra (Senegal) and Mavuba (Angola).

Re: Last 16: France(1E) Vs Nigeria(2F) - 30th June
If Nigeria had some chance this bonus row should blow half of it. Anyway I expect the French to win not too uncomfortably. The world cup quarter finals need at least one mouth watering clash. Bring on Germany vs. France.
Re: Last 16: France(1E) Vs Nigeria(2F) - 30th June
Varane-Koscielny will be the starting CB duo.
In terms of attack.... if it's Benz/Giroud, Sissoko starts because he gives better work rate and defensive effort than Pogba. If it's Benz/Griezmann, it will be Pogba.
Other than that, the rest of the team is clear.

Why is Sakho dropped?
Edit: just read he might be injured.

Yeah it's only due to injury. He hasn't trained at all since the last game. It's pretty much a certainty that he won't play despite Deschamps remaining quiet.
Also, with the heat tomorrow and the fact that France only carries two CFs, i doubt that Benz and Giroud start together... need one to come off the bench as tired legs will undoubtedly become an issue.

Re: Last 16: France(1E) Vs Nigeria(2F) - 30th June
Expected starting lineup according to l'Equipe:
Lloris - Debuchy, Varane, Koscielny, Evra - Pogba, Cabaye, Matuidi - Valbuena, Giroud, Benzema.
So France is going for the full on attack with both Pogba and Giroud. I think it's a good move. No point holding anything back.
