Tbh France did create chances but their finishing let gem down, unlike Brazil who can't create shit.
Griezmann should be a starter. Don't know what DD sees in Gruuuuuuu

Matuidi should've been sent off and two penalties denied for Nigeria, they were unlucky today. France will still be a good candidate to reach the semifinal.

I swear, had GL been around in earlier decades, you'd have had posters going "pah Brazil/France/Argentine didn't impress me" and "Romario/Platini/Maradona - certified scrub killer"

First game against good opposition and they're struggling.
Ha ha ha nice one.
Nigeria had the ball for 75 minutes nevertheless they had 2 poor actions (2 long range shot) and one goal offside, France had the ball for 20 minutes and they scored 2 balls with some actions before this (crossbar, Enyeama did great saves as usual).

I knew you were going to throw up on France, that's usual now. I don't know where the trauma comes from but it seems to be a deep one.
Nevermind, keep bitching.
Meanwhile France is going forward.

Re: Last 16: France(1E) Vs Nigeria(2F) - 30th June
France are *bleep* shit and Nigeria got robbed. No one will complain because it's not a European/South American team though (unlike Bosnia and Croatia) eg. Iran v Argentina.
Giroud and Matuidi should have both been sent off. Emenike's goal was wrongly disallowed. Both goals were from mistakes as usual rather than France's real quality and they were being outplayed before that thug took out Nigeria's best midfielder.
Hope these frauds get battered in the next round *bleep* Joke team. One of the few blights on the tournament.

Griezmann I don't know how that scrub Giroud started over him today.
Agree with both points.
Except for the last twenty or so minutes it was a poor quality match with poor touches, poor passing, poor crossing and poor shooting.
To me it seemed like France deliberately did not over-exert themselves. They let Nigeria have the ball for a long time in spite of having such fine midfielders.
While Nigeria did as well as they could France's shots and goal scoring chances were generally better.
Enyeama was brilliant for a long time but unfortunately he was culpable for the first goal and for the second also we could say.
Griezmann changed the game completely. Not only for France but he gave the viewers some much needed injection of quality with skill, pace and good link up play.
As someone had suggested the two strikers up front system would not work in the long run. Hope Griezmann has booked his place in the starting lineup against what's likely to be Germany and if it is and he has then it's a mouth watering clash.

Re: Last 16: France(1E) Vs Nigeria(2F) - 30th June
I dont get all the France are shit opinions going around... in fact I think they have been impressive and better than expected. They are not the best in any areas, but they are solid and pretty good in all areas I think. Benzema hitting form is I Dont know a bit random.... maybe Ribery out has brought the team together more but they still are not exactly showing chemistry but improving.
Something I dont understand also is teams like Nigeria, Mexico, Algeria actually looking more tired towards the end of the matches compared with their European opponents. So much for the more familiar with the hot weather advantage....seems not so. Goes to show the top level footballers in Europe are just so damn fit that they can out run the African/Amercian footballers.
