Tbh, I can't see anyway we can significantly improve the team. The only player I dislike in the team is Ronaldo (yes I know he scored lots of goals) but I can't see anyway we're selling him anytime soon. Other than that I think team is doing just fine, we only need someone to replace Alonso, we'll see if the players we have will be able to fill his shoes.

Adding more quality depth will greatly improve how we play in the league.

the reason we burned out and started to shit the bed near the end of the season is because we didnt have a 2nd striker who Carlo trusts to pick up league and cup games to keep Benzema from getting too fatigued.

So that is a necessary position- I dont have any suggestions, but I think a veteran striker in the mold of totti, drogba, klose, pazzini, even cassano again would be a good fit.

secondly we should shell out the big bucks for Pogba. This is a player that is truly special. He can certainly hop into our starting 11 immediately. We can either play him deeper to replace Alonso's position (not role). Or we have Modric play Alonso's role and have Pogba and Di Maria in front of him. I personally think the first suggestion is best because it offers more defensive solidity (we desparately need this) as well as allowing our best player last season to play his preferred position - Modric.

Defense is fine for me- although if I had my way I would toss Pepe and Ramos into the ocean and buy 2 players who can defend and have brains.

Lastly the thing that bothers me that I know we won't change is GK- the secret is finally out that Iker has moved past it. He is not going to improve, and he is not of the quality we need in a Treble yearning team. Lopez is okay but I think we can improve vastly. Give me De Gea, give me Courtois - Splash the cash and get it over with we need investment in this area and these two are the brightest young keepers I've seen since Iker came through

I don't think Pogba as a DM with Dimaria and Modric on the sides will work. And Iker being past it is way too much exaggerating. I think he's just fine. I don't think we'll sell Ramos anytime soon, he's not that solid defensively, but at least we'll pair him with Varane.

I completely agree with the backup striker though, unfortunately we;re being linked with Falcao, and I'm afraid it's gonna create another Benz-Higgy situation.

hmm.. obviously it's hard to say no to Real as a last glorious goodbye, but afaik Klose has settled in well in Rome and his family likes it there, he just extended a year, I'm doubting that he's looking for excitement at his age where family matters take precedence over career moves.

25M for a player like Kroos is a bargain. In this market his value would be around 50m at least, considering scrubs like Cavani go for 60-70m

If it happens I will be very happy with it. Kroos has shown his quality over the past two years and would be a great addition.

My only concern is that our midfield is getting less athletic by the day lol. That isn't necessarily a bad thing but I would prefer us to be more well rounded.

we still have Di Maria and Modric who have great engines. Add to that Khedira and Casemiro. If Khedira leaves I hope that Carlo will trust Casemiro.

khedira was injured for 6 months and he never trusted Casemiro, what makes you think it's gonna change? lol

EC and Bild have already reported we are talking to Vfl for Luiz Gustavo.

Kroos will be a backup, so I'm not sure why he'd want to join us.

Ancelotti probably wants to play him in Alonso/Modric's position. However Kroos is at his best when he's playing AM and dropping deep.

He's average defensively and too slow to play in deeper positions. Alonso is too, but he's better defensively and he's a better playmaker from deep.
