Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
This is the most cohesive I've seen USA play under Klinsmann must be said. Solid defensively, winning the ball back quickly in midfield, transitioning quickly and the link-up play between Bradley and Dempsey has been ace.
We play like this against Ghana and I like our chances infinitely better.

Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
Bradley looks so, so comfortable and confident in this more attacking role and having Beckerman in there allows Jones to go on his forays forward without leaving gaps ahead of the defense. With Bedoya/Zusi's workrate opposite Dempsey in that attacking midfield area this team looks so much more solid defensively.
JOOOOOOZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AT THE DOUBLE!
That was the goal of a confident striker.

What a ball from Bradley as well. Using what he's learned from Totti. Love his technique.

#UnnecessaryNegativity:
If Dempsey has passed it 5 minutes ago that could be a hattrick for Jozy, there.

Dempsey's been rather wasteful today, to be honest.

Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
Agreed. Could see if he was taking a more creative role, but he's fluffed his lines quite a few times.
Besler gives up a pen. No problem with the tackle myself on Moses, but no problem with Clattenberg's decision either.

I don't really blame Besler for conceding a pen. He didn't get carded.. He did his best to cover from Omar's mistakes.
Pray he doesn't see a minute of the pitch this WC.

Almost wanted MB to have a go there, but he made the right decision. Has been the maestro today.

FT. Really like what I saw overall. It's a friendly though so we can't gleem too much from this, but a breathtaking attacking display at times.
MB has got to be MOTM for me. Ran the show and was everywhere.

Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
Just wondering are these friendlies involved by the teams in the WC all being played in Brazil? Are all the team arrived in Brazil already for all their training and preps?

Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
They are played wherever the coaches fancy. One match in Belgium today even had a little break due to a hailstorm, so you might consider its worth as preparation for Brazil at least somewhat questionable:

Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
Still wondering why the US is having a closed door scrimmage with Belgium when if we finish second in the group we are likely going to face them in the next round.

Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
England honestly look so bad. They just don't play to their limited strengths at all. Saying that Hondouras were very well drilled.

Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
Replace Sissoko with Pogba and you got the starting IX of France in World cup. Looks like Griezmann isnt a starter nor is Kosienley. DD rates Sakho more than Kosienley.
Re: Pre World Cup Friendlies Thread
How did we not sign Cabaye last summer? The more I think of it, more bizarre it sounds. Would've been a perfect replacement for Arteta
