I don't know *bleep* about the Belgium national team but I really don't think they'll make it anywhere near as semis Laughing

You feel Belgium have a lot of potential, but they haven't been anything amazing. Looking at their qualification campaign, they didn't exactly obliterate the other teams, pretty narrow wins mostly. Maybe they can turn it up a notch when it really matters.

I think the greatest match up will be Iran-Argentina where we can see the Iranian Messi (Sardar Azmoun) and the Argentine Messi (Lionel Messi) go head to head hmm

Other people called Uruguay, Argentina, and Portugal "big countries", so I don't see what the big deal is.

This is an extremely open WC IMO

Can think of probably 6 teams I wouldn't be shocked to see win

Teams I WOULD be shocked to see win include England and Italy

Italy? I'd never be shocked to see Italy win. They are a tournament team, too.
(Which doesn't mean I *want* them to win, though.

Think it's pretty obvious we're going to win the WC. Look at our squad ffs.

Muller & Gotze will be unstoppable.

Post by McAgger Tue May 27, 2014 4:57 pm

I literally had a dream of Honduras winning the world Cup. Dead serious. It was such a weird dream. I remember being afraid of oversleeping on June 12th for the opening game and then I did oversleep. And I woke up the whole tournament had ended somehow. And when I checked the score Honduras had won the whole thing beating Holland 5-0 in the final. Laughing

I am surprised to see so many people think Argentina could reach last 4. their keeper and mid is average and defense is poor......I doubt they can pass the hurdle of quarter this time as well.....

If Mascherano plays holding midfielder and Di Maria continues his form at CM then they only really need one other midfielder to partially pull their weight and they'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Also they have a relatively easy path to the semis, with the only hard match being Portugal/Belgium.
