Re: World Cup: Group F discussion
Think the group will end as it is.... can't see Nigeria beating Argentina and as well as Iran played they struggle to score.
I have no reason to think they will end their drought against Bosnia, wouldn't be surprised if its 0-0 tbh.
Argentina will improve as the competition goes on just because of the type of team they are, against bigger teams spaces will open up and thus they will create more which is dangerous with so much offensive talent.

Re: World Cup: Group F discussion
I can see Iran taking it because they will play a Bosnia who has already been kicked out. This means that the team fielded will probably not have quite the same level of motivation and might even feature a large number of subs. Iran while nowhere great showed they have great defensive discipline and can cause problems on the counter.
Of course if Nigeria and Argentina draw they both go through. This also doesn't seem terribly unlikely considering how awful Argentina have been playing recently.

At first I thought it was a pen but now I am not so sure. It is certainly not "clear" in any case, but it looks like Zaba gets there first, clears the ball and then the Iranian player lounges into him.

I opened my mind to that possibility when watching it, and I haven't got the slightest clue how you got that impression. Zabaleta is the one that lunged not the Iranian

I wish this "Greece of Asia" get trashed by Bosnia when they finally start playing football in a hope to go next round...
If Messi hadn't save Argentina's ass at the last minute you'd be still hiding in your cave now.
People said Argentina would put 3 or 4 goals past us but if you're happy with this result then good for you.
Yeah, thats because people did not realize that this team came to WC only to collect 3 straight 0-0... but i knew what they are and even did not expect that 1-0 win...
And i have nothing to hide for, i dont hype for this Argentina, even i think they are not the material to go past quarter again, i mentioned it repeatedly- La Selección Argentina,Who win WC threads. whereas you guys who bring Boeing to park in every matches but want to make Asia proud of that.....

I agree completely. Also would like to add that Bosnia have been very unlucky. They could and perhaps should have won 1-0 last night instead of losing 1-0. There are a few teams here who don't deserve to go out in the group stage and Bosnia is one of them. Ghana is another but at least they have got a point and are still in it. Australia is one more I can think of. If Ghana were in Nigeria's, Algeria's or Ivory Coast's group they would have not only gone through but likely done so with style. If Australia were in Iran's, Japan's or Korea's group they would have likely gone through.

Besides we shouldn't go gung on in this match. Rest most of the starters and conserve energy for the knock outs.

When I first saw it I thought it was a 50-50. Zaba clearly got the ball but he seemed to have got some of the man too. However now after seeing this gif in your post it is still a tough one. It seems more like not a penalty to me than a penalty but different referees could have given it differently while watching the incident live.
Re: World Cup: Group F discussion
Watched the Bosnia v Nigeria game in the morning now. Bosnia were so poor in their decision-making and execution in the final third, couldn't believe it. They got the ball so easily up there, but constantly failed to create good chances. Although they got that goal wrongly disallowed, Dzeko was clearly onside.

Well said...
As much i supported Spain due to Barca players, i was more upset to see Australia eliminated mainly due to the excellent fight they put in vs such mighty teams. Ghana, though a good team, i did not expect them to play with such brave vs the German that destroyed Portugal. I still hope Ghana through though but then another good team may need to get eliminated from that group...
