Man if this Italy has fb like Zambrotta or Grosso, for now it's like Cesare installed 2 walls on the wings. Verrati is tidy, he's like lite Deschamps, a bit too safe

Italy's early possession gave them the advantage and England were spent. Oh well, we played pretty well.

Beard era Pirlo surely is the best looking footballer of all time.
And Jack Wilshere surely makes the most stupid, ineffective and ill-timed dribbles of all footballers.

GEZ noticed me the other day and I had to pay 300 something Euro back fees.
To fund Reinhold Beckmann's salary, sigh.
Beckmann about Balotelli's sliced atttemt: "Ein Schelmenstück! Ein Schelmenstück!"
More like ein Trauerspiel.

Wonderful game, although everyone was incredibly tired after 75 minutes.

Great performance from Italy. Dominated England without De Sciglio and Buffon. Loving it <3

Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
I'm disappointed after that, not because we were bad, but because I thought we could have gotten something from the game. Ultimately, the concerns a lot of fans had about the defence were completely justified, because that's what prevented us from getting at least a point.
I was wondering why Candreva was starting and where, but seeing how the game played out it should have been obvious. Rooney on the flank means we were always going to be narrow on that side, and Baines was going to be exposed. Candreva, who had a fantastic game, and Darmian had that whole flank to themselves and that's where their goals came from, inevitably. Baines' defending for the winner, in particular, was terrible.
Offensively, at least, we were good, up until the last 20 minutes where I think tiredness played a part. Sterling excelled in that central role, and Sturridge always looked threatening. We were always going to look better on the counters than trying to break teams down with possession, but then, not keeping the ball as well as Italy did probably contributed to our tiredness towards the end; we had five or six players with cramp then, Italy only had one.
Italy played well, of course. I don't feel we were dominated by them, but they kept the ball very well, attacked our weakness effectively and all in all deserved the win. Pirlo was class.
It's not a disaster for us, by any means. Wins against Uruguay and Costa Rica will see us through. We could probably get away with four points after the earlier result. Just stop trying to accommodate Rooney. The guy is not playing well at all right now.

Good effort by England. Could have easily been a draw.
Final ball and finishing was poor however. Sterling was impressive and so was Sturridge.

England will be a team to seriously take into account by 2018. Really impressed by them.

Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
A very tactical game which in my opinion could have fairly ended in a draw.
Poor performance by what I was expecting from Italy. Defensively this is one of the worst Italian teams I've watched in my life. Extremely slow in transitions from attack to defence (why was Pirlo pressing?), poor attempts at clogging up the midfield and cutting off the passes. Paletta was hopeless in defence, De Rossi was anonymous and they just did not have the pace to cope with England's quick bursts.
On the other hand this is one of the most technically gifted England sides I have come to see, not surprisingly inheriting from one of the most modern EPL teams I have come across in recent seasons: Liverpool FC. Sure, England did sit back to hit Italy on the counter and weren't quite as imposing as Liverpool usually are, but every time they tried they looked like they could cause Azzurri a lot of problems. This is a young team with a bright future, even though they may not even make it out of their group. Huge kudos to Roy Hodgson for making some brave yet vital decisions for England.
