Vibe wrote:Lord Spencer wrote:Vibe wrote:My point is that it's not that Carlo improving Real that got La Decima,it's that the opposition got weakened compared to Mou's era.
I want to see you explain how Atleti got "weakened" or how that the same Bayern that thrashed Barca 7-0 suddenly became "weaker" in a year. Any bloody Madrid fan recognizes the increased performance of the Madrid team, starting from Benzema to Di Maria who is now truly world Class.
Saying Carlo did not improve Madrid is like saying Mou did not improve Inter.
Is Barca of 2013/14 on the level of Barca when Mou was at Real and Inter?
Is Bayern of 2013/14 on the level of Jupp's Bayern?
Is Atletico of 2013/14 on the level of previously mentioned prime Bayern and Barcelona Mou had to face?
The 2013/14 Champions League was not on the same level of competitiveness as in previous years and neither was La Liga despite Atletico's rise.
Carlo is a fantastic coach who I would take at Inter with both hand, but his work this season hasn't impressed me as it has others.Good work, but not impressive. He threw away the league that should be his in order to have an advantage over Atletico who had to sink their teeth into flesh against Barca a few days before.Without Costa, without Arda. And just BARELY won.
Maybe it will come together next season, but I truly don't see this Real any better than Mou's Real.Maybe prettier, but not better.
let's see.
the barça of 2013-2014 > the coachless barça of last year that finished some 15 points ahead of real
the atletico of this year > the atletico that beat real in the copa final last year .
the bayern of this year > the dortmund that trashed madrid last year .
the bayern of this year > the bayern of 2012 that didn't even win the bundesliga .
dortmund this year > any madrid quarter final opponent during mourinho's tenure .

Cute
Same can be said about Milan fans and Carlo...
AnceBotti's
Bullshit.
Milan fans are at the forefront in criticizing Carlo, and I in fact mentioned two of his biggest failings for Milan in the OP. We understand his weaknesses, and this is a fan club beyond those weaknesses. Unlike Mou bots, we don't elevate the man higher than the club, and his time at Milan should have been over after 2007.
And to humor you:
Pep's Bayern is the same as Jupp's Bayern. Same players, and same foundation.
They are also stronger than Van Gal's Bayern.
Guess what, the coach is all the difference just like Carlo with Madrid.
Barca are weaker, but this Atleti is as strong as anything Barca, Inter, and Bayern faced in their CL campaign.
BVB are the same team that thrashed Madrid last year.
In fact, Carlo's run to the final from the onset was more difficult than anything Mou faced during his Madrid career.
Yes,BVB that had 7 starters injured was as strong as BVB of previous year. And still beat Real 2-0 and could have easily been through...
Same player, same foundation means nothing.Jupp's Bayern was simply better and there is really no point discussing it,it's obvious.By that logic,Rafa's Inter was as good as Mou's Inter.Same players, same foundation.

You are basically disapproving your own points
You say Carlo did nothing to improve Madrid.
But then say that Pep and Rafa ruined Inter and Bayern respectively.
What you are basically saying is that the manager makes a lot of difference. This is your own argument now Vibe, and are basically admitting it.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti Fan Club
Are you kidding me? Seriously?
Some coaches improve teams, some weaken them, some stay at a similar level.
There is no general rule here.
Pep did not ruin Bayern, they are still a top club but not as good as under Jupp's last season.
Rafa weakened Inter immensely...
Carlo remained at a similar level.
Simeone for instance,improved Atletico,obviously.

And yet anyone with some football knowledge clearly sees how Madrid improved under Carlo. In fact, they won two more competitions than they did last year, with one of them by beating the champions of three top leagues.
At this point, you are just trying to discredit what Carlo is doing for Madrid by actually believing an illogical lie.

BVB of last year were still stronger than the quarter final opponents mourinho faced in his 3 years stint .
pep's bayern was stronger than last year's dortmund and the 2012 bayern that beat real .
mourinho didn't face last year's bayern so it's pointless mentioning them .

Re: Carlo Ancelotti Fan Club
Pep's Bayern are different tactically to Jupp's 12/13 team and they weren't as good.
Dortmund had like half their team missing and still almost beat us in the 2nd leg. We got lucky.
Either way every team needs luck and Ancelotti deserves credit for how we beat Dortmund in the first leg. Also despite Bayern not being as good, they were still one of the best teams in World managed by one of the best coaches and we beat them 5-0, so again Ancelotti should be commended for that.

.
but that's still tougher than the competition mourinho faced last year .
semi finals = this year's bayern > last year's dortmund
quarter finals = this year's dortmund > last year's galatasaray .
and real didn't even deserve to go throught against man U last year.

This years Dortmund were definitely better than Galatasaray from last season, however it would be hard to say who's better between this years Bayern and last years Dortmund. I mean last years Dortmund only lost 2-1 to Jupp's Bayern, who were better than Pep's Bayern. So it's close.

i'd say this year's bayern are better than last year's dortmund .
bayern destroyed the bundesliga this season , and dortmund finished 20 points behind last season .
dortmund needed a miracle and a referee mistake to qualify against malaga ffs.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti Fan Club
Carlo's toughest match this CL season was against BVB, where they were going to do a classic Ancelotti reversal.
Both against Bayern and Atleti, Madrid were comfortably better. While Real needed a 90+ minute equalizer, they were the better team throughout the match, missing three great chances and only conceding from an Iker brainfart.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti Fan Club
Carlo Ancelotti has revealed big-money signings James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos will make their Real Madrid debuts in the Super Cup clash with Sevilla.
The coach confirmed he is ready to unleash both the Colombia attacker and Germany midfielder on the Europa League holders for Tuesday's Super Cup tie in Cardiff.
A star-studded Madrid line-up will also include Gareth Bale as he returns to Wales, while Ancelotti said he is confident Cristiano Ronaldo's injury problems are behind him.
The Portugal captain struggled with a knee problem towards the end of last season and was short of full fitness at the World Cup, but Ancelotti believes his star forward is now refreshed.
"James and Kroos will play," he told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
"Kroos has done well in the last five days and will help us because he has a lot of skill. James is a very good player with great qualities who is physically good - I am very happy with his signing.
"We have made a great effort in the transfer market and we have a better team than last year.
"The problems Cristiano had last season are gone and he is in shape. This is a new season for him."
Keylor Navas has also arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of the new campaign, but Ancelotti refused to reveal who his first-choice goalkeeper despite confirming Iker Casillas would be between the sticks in Cardiff.
"Casillas deserves to play this game because he had a good Champions League last season," the Italian said.
When asked who his No.1 will be, he added: "I don't know… or I do know but I'm not going to say."

Carlo has already won as many trophies as Mourinho
1 down 5 to go
Atleti will be the biggest test for us, they look ready. If Kroos and the likes look good in that game then I am confident of the new season. And Carlo will have done a really good job having hand picked Kroos himself

Cant wait for Carlo to wipe out any traces left by Mourinho. Namely, winning record (2 games left against Eibar and Basle) and goals scored in a single season (well on our way to beat that)
