Contracts don't work that way.

Doesn't the A-league have something called a guest player program or something? Where anyone can play a certain number of games without actually being contracted with the team? But I doubt that either player will want to go.

Probably they'll sign with NYCity then get loaned back to Atletico and Chelsea till January. Makes the most sense. I don't see either Atletico or Chelsea not wanting them back for a few months or having a problem with it.

Anyhow I like David Villa coming to MLS.. But I don't think its worth it to NYCFC to use one of their DP spots on Lampard who will be 36 months before they even play their first game. They'd be better off using that spot on someone younger.

Also, along these lines Orlando City have a similar agreement with Kaka that he allow him to stay at Milan until the start of the 2015 season. So he will have another full season at Milan if they want him. Brek Shea is also training with Orlando City this week in what will likely be a loan with purchase option.

We had the best defence Last season, we have Kalas, Omeruo and Zouma who are all very promising, Ivanovic can play there so there is no need for another experienced CB.

We should be focusing on aquiring CF's not getting rid of our best (currently) CF in exchange for a player who will only improve the team depth wise.

May as well sign Victor Valdes so we can watch Cech, Courtois and Valdes fight it out for 1 GK spot while we're at it.

thought Newcastle weren't exploiting the French market anymore and wanted moar English playa's

And a lot of the fringe french players will be leaving like Obertan, Marveaux etc etc.

It won't be as dominated as it was before i reckon, the only ones left will be actual quality ones and not the average squad players plodding up the squad.
