Milan add Mastour to first team

Milan have officially placed 15-year-old prodigy Hachim Mastour into the first team.

The trequartista was born in Reggio Emilia from Moroccan parents and won’t turn 16 until June 15.

He already has several sponsorship deals and has filmed promotional videos with the likes of Neymar to show off his skills.

Today CEO Adriano Galliani was at the Milanello training ground to present Mastour as a new member of the first team.

He has until now played for the Allievi Nazionali side, with occasional appearances for the Primavera youth team under Coach Pippo Inzaghi.

It's reported he could well be included in the squad to face Sassuolo this weekend and possibly make his Serie A debut at the age of 15 thanks to special permission from the Lega Serie A.

In all seriousness, I find it quite unusual that a 15 year old is a part of the first team squad.

He hasn't even started a game for the Primavera(U20) yet.

There were some reports that Ajax was interested in him and even put in a bid. I guess its Galliani's way of saying we're offering you a position in the first team as a 15 year old. An opportunity which you are unlikely to get elsewhere.

in mid table clubs that cant spend much on signings, it's common that youth players are pushed through the system.

Ooooooor, we could live in the real World, a world in which they were slap bang in the middle of the table for half a season.

He clearly has 99 dribbling and 5* skills, but how many young kids have we seen on youtube who can do that? Let's hope he uses his skills appropriately.

He looks very talented, but you cant actually tell how developed he is based on videos taking all his best moments and leaving out the rest! but he is certainly a better freestyler than neymar lol

Another thing, he seems to have isco/wilshere esque bowleggedness, quite a pronounced one like isco. I have heard that combining that with a lot of power can lead to injuries (what some people have thought caused wilsheres problems)

He just got added in FIFA, he has 88 potential

Incredibly overhyped so far . This season he barely played , even with the primavera. Had injuries and i think he also had an operation about one of his injuries/his injury .

Lad has immense skill on the ball and his ball control is some of the best stuff i've ever seen from 16-17 year olds. Other than that , the things he must learn , how his overall game will develop , still weak physically despite showing impressive growth for such an age.. long , long ass way to go .

I remember the most legit game he played this season was a friendly against Real in January . Total headless chicken , but that's understandable anyway . Did show tiny glimpses of skill and an eye to make impressive through balls , but that's about it , didn't even succeed at it.

Don't expect to see him become important anywhere , any time soon . Most likely he will be spending half the season with Milan's primavera .

do you mean to say i am being unfair to Mastour?? If that's the case , well i am not. It's just that people have unreal expectations about him , maybe that's why it looks like that. Kid has done fk all to deserve such hype , people hype him up so much it's ridiculous , let him actually play official games for Milan first and then mention him in the same sentence as Neymar

And in any case , i don't say he isn't ridiculously talented , neither do i say he's a fraud or anything like that. However , there's 0 guarantee as to what kind of player he will become , players of his mould failed to become big players in the past .
