Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque has said that when Chelsea duo Diego Costa and Cesc Fàbregas come back into the Spain squad, they may well have lost their place

Chelsea don't have the title in the bag despite failings of Premier League rivals so far this season :
Thibaut Courtois insists Chelsea do not have the Premier League title ‘in the bag’

"We don’t have the title in the bag. We are working game by game. The Premier League is very difficult."
"We are trying to win with every game that is possible. But there will be a still a long way to win the title. We are working hard. Hopefully that will be enough."

Three men chiefly to credit for Chelsea's unbeaten start to the season, says former star Ferreira:
Chelsea legend Paulo Ferreira has earmarked the three players he believes are behind Chelsea's surge to the top of the Premier League

"The new players that came have lots of quality and the important thing is they have adapted easily."
"Diego Costa just arrived, it’s his first season and he is scoring goals."
"Cesc Fabregas knows the Premier League really well and is a top player, they came and brought extra quality to the team."
"It helps Diego Costa to have some Brazilian players in the team to help him settle, to tell him how the league works, and I think that’s important."
"When you spend money on top players, you want to see them arrive and succeed, and it’s what we’ve seen from him."
"I am really happy for him because he is doing really well. And I am sure the manager is really happy. The supporters want to see him scoring goals too and he’s doing that."
"Branislav Ivanovic has also been fantastic so far."
"He has had a really good season and is a top player. Defensively he is very strong and it’s very difficult to beat him, but he’s also good in attack and can score goals as well. He’s a very consistent player."
"At the moment Chelsea is doing really well and I am very happy for that. I think they can be champions, it will still not be easy, it will be a long and hard season, but I am really pleased with how the team is doing."

‘Football, not complacency’ to blame for Chelsea dropped points, says Mourinho:
Chelsea manager José Mourinho says the few instances his side has dropped points this season is not because of complacency, but the competitive nature of the game

"If we lose a game it is not because of complacency. It is because football is football."
"The Champions League game against Maribor, where we dropped two points, that was not complacency, that was football. We missed so many chances, the better team was ready and performed tremendously well in the second half."
"Football is one of the sports where it is very possible that the team that is not the favourite gets the result. Every week it happens in many, many countries."

-“Since I’ve known Sergio Ramos he has been a fantastic football player, but he is not a doctor. He is not a doctor and I am the same. I do my job the best I can but I am not a doctor.”
“My doctor and the doctor of the Spanish national team, they had the scans and they decided that the player was not in the condition to play.”
“I am nobody to go against it and I don’t think Sergio did a medicine Masters in the last couple of years to understand about it.”

Re: Chelsea 14/15
Yes, was planning yesterday to post about this after the game tonight (just to make sure...).
Only thing even coming close to a blip was the 1-1 in Maribor, and even that game we should have won by about 5 goals.

Mourinho: Chelsea stars don't care about individual accolades:
Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard have been shortlisted to be named in the FIFA team of the year but the Blues boss insists they are only focused on the club's success

“This kind of trophy is not good for football. This is why I don't care about it. Sometimes it looks like we are looking for stars, we are looking for some people to be more important than others. And this is not the culture we want in this club. I don't care about it.”
“The mentality here is not to be worried about that. Even less being obsessed with that. When I see these two names, Fabregas and Hazard, I think clearly they don't think about it. They think about the team, about playing well and trying to win matches.”

José Mourinho expects MORE from unbeaten Chelsea players:
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is confident the best is yet to come from a side unbeaten in 12 Premier League matches and 19 in all competitions

"I'm sure there is much more to come. It's a young team, with lots of young players."
"There is a lot ahead of us but this team has all the conditions to be better."
"We were winning 5-0 against Schalke and in the 88th minute, (Eden) Hazard made a sprint to defend."
"They have changed. There is a clear evolution with these people. As a group they can't be complacent."

José Mourinho: Chelsea would rather lose than play for draws and be invincible:
José Mourinho has claimed he has no interest in going the whole season unbeaten if it means settling for draws to preserve the record rather than gambling on winning
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jose-mourinho-chelsea-would-lose-4734062
Quite right, too.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jose-mourinho-chelsea-would-lose-4734062
"One thing is that I don't think it's possible (to go unbeaten)."
"The other thing is we are not playing for that. We don't focus on that. We don't. Because, if you play for that, if that is one objective, maybe you draw so many matches, you don't take risks to try and win matches."
"You are happy just to be undefeated. If you get 10 draws, you get 10 points. If you win five and lose five, you make 15 points. I'd prefer 15 points and lose matches than 10 points and be undefeated."
"If tomorrow we have a 0-0 with 20 minutes to go, we are not going to play for the 0-0 to be undefeated after 21 matches. No way. We are going to play matches to win. Sometimes, we will lose."
Quite right, too.
