Mou is the first manager in the Roman era to finish a season with no trophy and not get sacked. Definitely has to get something this coming season.

I would tend to agree, we could actually got for a very minimalist approach and still be fine. Our defence could remain the same -Cole. Bertrand or PVA could play as a back up. Zouma could replace Luiz potentially.

That really leaves CF and CM.

Two in and a few leaving, we'd be fine.

I'm still unwilling to accept Zouma as automatically good enough to back up what, in the event of Luiz's sale, will be just 2 experienced CB's remaining at the club, one of whom is pushing 34. You can point to the possibility of him having a good preseason (which you invariably will), and bring up Kalas' count-'em 2 good performances this season as proof we'll be fine, but it's far too great and far too precarious a contingency to risk what could be our entire season on.

If DL leaves, someone has to come in in his place, for me.

Ivanovic?

If DL4 leaves, I want a LB tbh. So in the event of an injury, Azp can move to RB and the LB can step in. Then I won't be worried.

That would mean bringing in a fullback (PvA is no more a certainty than Zouma; Bertrand is arguable) - which is also a solution to this issue.

Ideally DL4 would stay.

I would only let him leave if we got Mandzukic in return. Then bring in Moreno/Rodriguez.

He'll be sold Manzookitch or not, I think. Similar to Mata's sale, the funds used from his will be used to offset some of our spending this summer.

I don't think so. From what I have read, Barca no longer want Luiz as Enrique doesn't like him.

That leaves Bayern and maybe PSG. I can't see PSG doing business with us as we'll just ask for Cavani. Bayern could as we'd also want Mandzukic.

Jose initially wanted to wrap up player signings before WC so their prices don't shoot up. Now It seems he wants to wait till WC is over. This perhaps means he was not able to do that or the players themselves were not ready. It is in fact a good thing. WC for sure will showcase new talent and increase options.

He never said that. Mere media speculation; and as I said from the off, very few, if any, of those "wrapped up before the World Cup" transfers the papers looove to write about before every summer international tournament ever actually happen.
