Re: Everton v Arsenal LIVE
Giroud's lack of a pace cost us a certain goal. Then, five seconds later, we leave Naismith open for the rebound and the goal.

Re: Everton v Arsenal LIVE
Szczesny has looked pretty serviceable so far, kept us in the game til this point IMO. A couple of chances there would have already been bobbled in by Almunia or the early version of Fabianski.
Culann Davies on twitter said that Vermaelen seems to bring panic into the back line, and I suspect that's correct. I don't think he's a bad player, but there's just something that seems off with chemistry a lot when he's in the line-up.
Unfortunate.

Santi is leaving the right almost wide open for Everton's attack

this loss makes the top 4 interesting but, onces we get our players back we will go on a run again, and everton will lose.
if we dont reinforce HEAVILY, in the summer wenger can fck off.

Re: Everton v Arsenal LIVE
Given the circumstances this might be a good match to have Podolski on, even if he's largely anonymous, just because he's one of the few who can pop in with a real shot at goal from out of nowhere ...

Re: Everton v Arsenal LIVE
we need ox and ramsey on, an unfit ramsey is better than both flamini and arteta.
id say bring on sanogo for giroud but i know that wount happen, every time giroud gets the ball he LOSES IT. and then SOME people fking wonder why we say sanogo should start.

Re: Everton v Arsenal LIVE
If this goes down as a loss, the only silver lining is that this squad should be able to win all the rest of their matches. (Everton probably won't.) If Arsenal really can't win their remaining matches after this one, maybe they don't deserve CL qualification + an FA Cup.
Still, this match isn't over. A draw is salvageable if the whole team gets their collective head out of their asses. Sagna, Szczesny exempted.

Ramsey comes on after months of injury, looks much livelier than most of his teammates.

Re: Everton v Arsenal LIVE
This collapse has been inexcusable
We have been ripped apart by literally every other top 4 challenger this season. And from wengers reactions you'd think he didn't even care
This team is a laughing stock right now. Crystal Palace puts up more of a fight

Ox, Rambo, Sagna, and Szczesny can at least leave the pitch knowing they gave it an honest effort. Not so sure about the rest today.
Barkley out there turning like Zidane FFS.

I hope Wenger plays Sanogo for the rest of the season.. Giroud is only there to model, Giroud's holdup play is supposed to one of the best but i never see his header reach anyone

Re: Everton v Arsenal LIVE
I'm tired of acting like we're only losing because the players out there aren't at their best. Even if they were, we probably would have lost, because at the end of the day we are not a world class team when our stars are injured.
Most of our team is decent and deserves to play a role for this club, but we do not have enough depth to lose more than a few key players and continue to win games, at least not using the same tactics as we do when our best players are fit. Our team relies on the midfield specifically, and when we are lacking there, every other weakness we have gets horribly exposed.
I'm also tired of this notion that we're so good offensively that we can punish any team. We actually offer almost nothing offensively right now; we're absolutely toothless. We play a safe defensive passing game and we just get rolled over when a team really comes at us. It's almost like a waiting game every week to see if the other team is going to punish us or if they're going to fail to exploit our weaknesses - our success depends on the other team.
I haven't been commenting in here for a little bit because I couldn't be arsed to rant about the team when absolutely everything merits criticism, but that basically sums it up. Wigan will definitely beat us if we play like that next week.
