Conte shows his inability to step up for Europe once again. This is downright depressing. We are far from being eliminated, 1-0 would have been a good score for us, but to be honest, I didn't expect too much from Gio-Osvaldo partnership, let alone our defense. I have no problems with Ogbonna or Caceres individually but Fiorentina got deadly players who could expose any minor mistake (Cuadrado, Gomez for example).

Also, we can't play like that in Europe, the match was extremely boring after the first 20 mins.

But the WORST moment, after we concede, Conte brings on Padoin. Seriously, this f*cks up my mind badly.

Actually that was a totally legit sub, Osvaldo didn't do much in the whole match while Pogba is perfect for both holding the ball and counter attacking (just check what he almost scored right after a few minutes).

Conte Shouldn't have subbed Osvaldo for Pogba, he should've took Pirlo off for Pogba and Lichsteiner for Isla a bit earlier. This was a very bad score line because now we have to go to their stadium and score a goal

What so fkin negative -,-? And don't give excuses cuz everyone was saying why sont we play ogbonna blah blah blah.... why the fak did he didnt play our regulars and rest them vs genoa? The probability of winning the league is greater than the probability of winning EL

And ya, just look at in CL how we wasted our opportunity by drawing home vs gala... the same thing would happen here. Viola will play for the 0-0 draw. It will be much easier for them now

We needed another forward ffs not a midfeilder. He tried to camp the box and hold the 1-0. Why didnt he put Vucinic on? Or Llorente? We are up by 14 points ffs

Nevermind all that, we sat back after 15 minutes. We're too defense minded. No matter how shitty our opposition is, soon as they attack we go to our counter attacking game plan and refuse to move from it

I totally agree, it was bad tactics right from the start, but I thought (probably Conte too) that we could hold on for the last 15 minutes. Fiorentina looked tired at that time.

Strikers were a waste of the time; that is why CONTE put in POGBA for OSVALDO

I just hope we beat them next game/advance because if we get eliminated from the Europa league, we lose money, a trophy and we get made fun of because we couldn't get past the round of 16 in the Europa League. Maybe next game we should play a 4-3-3 with Caceres/Lichsteiner at RB and Asamoah at LB, Giovinco RW and Tevez LW and they can switch in the game if they want to. I also think Marchisio should play instead of Pirlo if his injury isn't serious.

Well, let me see say my statement first:
Don't let your hope up guys, that juve in Europe...

pass back, back again, midfield (> defense)

back to another defender > goalie

> defender like (Mehbgonna) loses his mind, back to goalie

back to midfield back to defender (wasted 10 mins already back and forthing whilst we desperately need to attack)

defender loses his mind shoots long ball at nobody (opposition gets the ball back and builds an effective attack)

or

back back back then back and forth among each other in defense, one defender gets pressed to death (or Pirlo) back passes to Buffon, opposition striker steals the ball and causes damage

today is one of he clear reasons why we need to scrap 3-5-2 it involves our CBs and wingbacks in too much, they fatigue quickly or press high and lose concentration so letting long balls often get the better of them like we saw today

Conte needs to switch and practice the 4-3-3 formation now (with the league 60% won) and next season we need to get some good/quality wingers that can take on their man also, please don't waste 12m (whatever) on Osvaldo we can add some extra money to it and get a quality striker like say (Mandzukic, Jackson Martinez or Dzeko etc)

cos 3-5-2 doesn't work for Llo, 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2 for next season, Llo can be back up or if the 4-3-3 proves effective for him then he can start....

Yes, we must cjange formation. I guess fiorentina read the way we played. This is why they were controlling. I guess we are becoming predictable.

also next week I should make the away thread, baraja spark was clearly missing....
