I don't know if this was posted already. But this was posted a few hours ago. Of course you'll see that the graphics are really good, and you'll see that on the next gen consoles. But since I don't have a PS4 yet, I'll stick with the PS3 version of the game.

FIFA 14 on current gen was the worst FIFA in a while.

The next gen version was legit though, fully expect FIFA 15 to keep the high standards.

But gameplay amendments are there, beginning with elements of last year's effort that the masses decreed too powerful. The overwhelming success of both through balls and headers has been significantly toned down, occasionally to the point of intense frustration. I'm unable to restrict myself to such polite curse words as 'bloody' after nodding over from point blank range for the umpteenth time.

Still, producer Nick Channon willingly listens as I lament these minor frustrations, and acknowledges there's plenty of tuning to do. The version of the game I'm playing is only 55 per cent complete. "We set ourselves up so that new features go in early in the development schedule, giving us lots of time for finesse," he explains.

"That also enables us to put elements in and then think: 'you know what, this might not work.'"

The subtle gameplay additions made of the developer's own accord, rather than based upon fan feedback, are more immediately pleasing. Ball control, already far more precise than on the last generation of consoles, has been further tightened, enabling you to extricate yourself from pressure situations - blocked in by two men near the corner flag, say - using a perfectly-judged changed of pace and direction, rather than superhuman contortions of the right stick. (Although virtual Ronaldos will be pleased to hear the selection of available tricks has again been expanded.)

Ball control also feels less sticky, thanks to additional work in the physics department. "Previously, touches wouldn't preserve any momentum on the ball - it would be zeroed every time," Channon elaborates. "Now, all ball movement is based upon where your player's foot touches it. The spin is completely contextual. It's having a big effect, particularly with deflections."

"Last year, most deflections went straight down, whereas now you get emergent behaviours. Receiving passes is affected in a similar way. A shorter, quicker, Tiki-taka style passing game, switching play from side to side using the ball's momentum, are now possible."

tiki taka is only possible offline lol because online superhuman pressing negates the midfield and you can't retain possession because you never bend passes around the guy infront of you and somebody spam holding R1 blocks off most passing lanes

Yeh, I only average 75% possession a game, which just isn't good enough imo.

Anyway what they need to do is tone down the interception rate. If a team in real life presses for 90 mins, they'd be dead. Right now every single team on FIFA can auto high press for 90 minutes, with 100% effectiveness and without getting tired. I mean there's only a few teams in real life who can do that.

Possession teams need to be more effective in terms of retaining the ball. People would eventually have to park the bus in order to counter-attack and that would test their defensive skills.

The pressing ability of teams on FIFA should be similar to how they are in real life, at least for the online game modes.

Parking the bus should be more difficult than it is

With perfect positioning and no tiring, you can literally jockey the ball and get away with defending for 90 minutes.

Agility? Pro clubs was full of super unrealistic agile midgets who could stop the ball at full speed and cut in within 0.2 seconds with precise accuracy

Like never before, users of the game will be able to have full control over when and where they concede goals to headers. This new feature allows you to position your defender right infront of a striker only to refuse to lock on to the cross and concede a headed goal.
