Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
Okay so Bryan HHH is now on. But what will happen to the main event ? a heel v heel match ?

Never seen a wrestler in worse shape than batista
Prime 600 pound Viscera AKA Mabel was better than that
No wonder he barely beat a fat jobber in mma.

I'm seriously mad at myself for staying up until 4am for this now. Felt for sure Punk was coming.

Yea so....still waiting for that Punk appearance. Love the Paul Heyman fake-out. Knew that was going to happen.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about CM Punk not appearing on last night's RAW.
Meltzer had stated on Saturday's episode that "one of the biggest stars in the industry" said that he would be on the show, although he added that he could not confirm 100% that Punk would be there.
Meltzer noted that his source called him immediately after RAW and said, "I was lied to." Meltzer added that it didn't come from anyone in WWE, and if it did, he would have flat out said that Punk would be there.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
Considering this is WM 30, the match lineup looks underwhelming. In fact it looks average for any WM. WWE should do whatever they can to get Punk back.
They should have also got Goldberg back to face Ryback.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
The Undertaker was not at last night's RAW in Chicago as he was at home. WWE was still advertising Taker to appear as of the weekend so it must have been a last minute change. There was a version of the RAW script that had a staredown between Taker and Brock Lesnar.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee was at RAW but obviously not used. No official word yet on why she didn't work but it could have been because WWE was trying to keep the chants down for her boyfriend CM Punk.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
CM Punk was not at last night's RAW and was not in the script that they went to air with. One person in WWE creative said on Friday that Punk wasn't even discussed but didn't rule out a surprise return. Most people within WWE didn't know Punk would not be appearing for sure until Monday afternoon.
There was never a script written that included Punk in any way, beyond the few mentions that were made. There were going to be other mentions, by who we don't know, but those were nixed from the script.
Last night's RAW opened the way it did because WWE officials felt that if they ignored the Punk situation, the chants would become more powerful as the show went on. The feeling was that if they addressed it at the start of the show, the crowd would settle down some.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
Why am I doing your job mt?
There has been at least some discussion towards putting Daniel Bryan into a similar situation at WrestleMania XXX to Bret Hart at WrestleMania X, with Bryan having a match early in the show against Triple H before moving into the main event title match against Batista and Randy Orton.
- The UnderTaker is currently advertised for the following six events through and including WrestleMania 30:
* March 10: WWE RAW at Verizon Center in Memphis, Tennessee
* March 17: WWE RAW at AT&T Center CONSOL in San Antonio, Texas
* March 18: WWE Smackdown at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas
* March 24: WWE RAW at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY
* March 31: WWE RAW at Verizon Center in Washington DC
* April 6: WrestleMania XXX at Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana

Jerry Lawler said on RAW that last night's Batista vs. Daniel Bryan match was their first time facing each other but they wrestled on RAW back in May of 2010.

It was pitched at one point to have Bad News Barrett come out and do a "bad news" segment on CM Punk at last night's RAW in Chicago but it was nixed.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
WM 30 should have had more big star matches. They should have got Rock and Goldberg back. Ryback should have been built up as an individual superstar over the past few months, leading up to his feud with Goldberg.
Bryan vs Punk - WWE WHC title
Cena vs Undertaker - 'I quit' match
Lesnar vs Rock
Batista vs Orton - Last man standing match
Goldberg vs Ryback
Cody Rhodes vs Goldust - steel cage match
Some other match
IC/US title unification 6 man pinfall battle royal - Reigns vs Rollins vs Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt vs Big E vs Cesaro
Tag team title fatal four way ladder match - Harper/Rowan vs Uso's vs Outlaws vs whoever
Divas fatal four way match for the title - AJ vs Tamina vs whoever vs whoever
A pre show match

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
Wasting the best heel in the business in a poverty title match pls.
Agreed it lacks drawing power though, most likely the best match of the night is a streak match which we all know ends one way
Cena-Bray will be an odd one, with an injured Cena limping around

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
Nah Cena will be fine for WM. Still a month or so to go. Hoping for that match to be good. Cena works well with wrestlers like Umaga, Bray, bryan, Angle n Punk so it should be good.
Agreed with MT though. It lacks attraction unlike previous years. I hope HHH comes out for a match at least.
Hopefully we don't see Titus vs Young anywhere in the card. RVD Might make it along with Y2J though. Maybe do a Y2J vs Cesaro match to put Cesaro over at WM. I'll be interested in that.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
Problem is, if they go with the injury angle, whether it's real or recovered or even fake it'll impact the match
Has potential to be the best match of the night along with Takers imo
Considering Taker works his matches a lot beforehand it's bounc to be quality. But it lacks that 'edge' because of the damned streak.
