Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
CM Punk is expected to return at tomorrow night's Raw in Chicago, Illinois, according to Dave Meltzer on today's edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (Listen here).
While Meltzer won't say he's 100% sure Punk will be at the show, his source, who he says is "one of the biggest stars in the industry," said that it's 100% certain.
Punk has been absent from WWE programming since the Raw following the Royal Rumble on Jan. 27. Meltzer reported Punk had legitimately left the event after telling Vince McMahon he was "going home."
By the following Wednesday, the official WWE website stopped advertising Punk for future events. The matter was publicly acknowledged by McMahon on Feb. 20 during a quarterly conference call to investors, with the the CEO replying to a query concerning his status: "He's taking a sabbatical, let's just put it that way."

Bryan having a match with a jobber.
Batista pissed off comes and attacks him.
Orton comes and joins him but attacks batista as well. Bryan is lying down helpless as usual
Punk enters

I called this exactly happening straight after the news broke he left raw and was annoyed.
Dat irony
It's a good move though. Mania main event saved. Just think Orton is the least interesting involved now lol.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
A segment was scripted into last Monday's RAW from Green Bay that would have seen Batista turn heel but it was pushed back to Tuesday's SmackDown tapings and toned down a bit.
The original plan was for Randy Orton to come out and talk about how fans boo Batista and like him more than they do Batista. That and a loss to Alberto Del Rio was supposed to be the breaking point for Batista to go "ape s--t" on the fans to turn heel. The idea was that Orton "unleashed The Animal."
The decision was made to tone the segment down for RAW. Even before he actually turned on SmackDown, the idea was to do a few segments and matches over the next week or so to build to the heel turn but they went ahead with it.

Punk's not rumoured to be in the match though. They could easily make it a fatal four way or give the Bryan/Triple H match a stipulation, so if Bryan wins, he gets put into the match/gets a cash in opportunity. If he doesn't he never gets a title opportunity/leaves WWE/etc.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
If Bryan doesn't win it at WM, then there's no point really. I'd rather he won it at WM 31 instead of on a PPV like Extreme Rules/Payback etc.
Why waste it on someone who isn't going to be around in 2 years, when you can solidify someone who will be around for 10+ years.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
Only reason Punk would come back so fast is if he was being put into the mania main event. There's literally nothing else to put him into this close to it anyway.
And that means there's zero chance that Bryan is involved in that main event. There's no way he's going to have a war with Triple H then be involved in the title fight.
Only way Bryan gets in the main event is if Punk comes back to fight Triple H, but isn't that why he left in the first place? he didn't think it was good enough for him.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
As noted earlier, Dave Meltzer said on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that CM Punk is expected to be at Monday's RAW from Chicago. Meltzer wouldn't say he's 100% sure Punk will be there and really didn't sound too sure of it but his source, who is reportedly a top WWE star, said it's 100% certain.
Regarding plans for WrestleMania XXX, if Punk does return at RAW he will either replace Daniel Bryan in the match with Triple H or go into the WWE World Heavyweight Title match with Batista and Randy Orton.
Punk likely isn't winning the title unless he plans on signing a new contract in July and that impression wasn't given.

Wonder if punk would have returned if it wasn't in Chicago
Sounds to me like he just wants that glorious moment where he enters in a stadium where everybody is his fan.

True it must be killing Vinces ego, bending backwards to accomodate one wrestler who's not even the main man.

Vince grew on to love Punk. He was devastated when he left and tried everything to bring him back irregardless of Chicago.

If HHH vs Punk is back on it would burry Bryan, unless he's put into the main event.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 11
Bryan is already as over with the fans as the Rock. The rest is pretty darn simple on how to make Bryan a main eventer.
The story is practically writing itself, honestly speaking.

You guys can relax. No way is Punk coming back. Especially not being inserted into the main event and taking Bryan's "spot".
