Re: Galatasaray 1-1 Chelsea
Not this one. Mancini has set an admirable long term vision for Galatasaray yet the team is essentially a unit of rejects, players past their primes, and players of age beyond their need to play. They do not possess the collective depth to mount a two-legged challenge against Chelsea given the bevy of problems within their squad and absolutely horrid defence.
Chelsea difference is that they are clinical and overcome even being dominated by scoring out of oblivion and chaos, only team in EPL with a commendable winning mentality to which will see them through versus Galatasaray.
A dead end tie to which sadly will not have the shock-effect of Olympiakos-United.

With Terim Galatasaray would've gone through. With Mancini they'll get pummeled. Is what Arq wanted to say in short summary.

The opposite actually, dear Fußball. Terim's lack of tactical nous to actually adapt to his team had Gala continue to fail within the European continent as Mancini has built their defence from the back and utilized players to their potential (FROM WHAT I HEAR) yet the sinewy muscles and limits of his squad will not be enough to challenge a very tricky Chelsea, to whom unfortunately do not struggle against teams like Galatasaray given that Gala cater to succeed versus possession heavy teams with high lines.

Mou is not Moyes. Should be a win or maybe a draw for Chelsea. No way in hell they will lose.

Terim might not have any clue about modern tactics or defensive organization but he's got the grit and steel mentality and never die attitude to make his teams sweat and punch above their weight, especially in knockout games. I'd take that over Mancini trying to implement a defensive shape on a team like Galatasaray.

Mancini is a complete loser in the Champions League anyway.
Been like that with Inter, with City, I really can't imagine he'll be the one leading Gala to an upset.

He has already caused a major upset with Gala, but eliminating Juve.

ok, true, but that's probably as far as it gets. Believe me, I wouldn't mind them kicking out this abomination from Fulham at all.

Personally, I want Chelsea to get to Semi-finals (and lose there), because it'd mean their league game vs. Us, would be sandwiched by the 2 legs of semi-final...

Having said that, I definitely won't shed a tear if they get a twatting tonight with Drogba scoring a hattrick

I got Gala in this one. Sneijder is a big game performer and he's going to penetrate Chelsea.

Gala are a slow-ass team and Chelsea with the likes of Willian and Hazard will exploit them just like Madrid did when they faced them earlier in the competition.

Turning out to be a horrid last 16. Ffs most of the ties are dead already.
Such a shame Juve were KO'ed by Gala, would have been a interesting tie between them and chelsea
