There's different types of wingers though. Traditional wingers like Navas, Valencia etc, then players like Ribery/Hazard/Nasri/Mata, goalscorers like Ronaldo, Bale, Walcott, Pedro, Reus etc.

Then, according to this, Messi was a winger until 2011? I always considered him a right forward, but seeing as you consider Pedro and Ronaldo a winger, maybe I was wrong?

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
It's like people forget Mou was the one that lost 5-0 to Barca, right when Ramos came back from winning the world cup along with alonso / iker etc.
so far this year the two classicos have been very close and anyones game.

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
Attacking wise yeah. Midfield is a pair of headless chickens while defending. Defense makes up for some of the lost cause though.

bayern. they have improved, and defensively they are better, so we will see. bayern will not be a naive as last season if they were to face madrid again.

Well, you need to improve your goalkeeper department big time, then we might talk. ATM that is pretty much a weakness of yours and could cost you.Mamad wrote:Well then who is better?

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
impossible to claim Bayern is better until we have met them again and beat them, or beat a team that kicked them out.
So until proven otherwise, Real is still the best team in Europe.

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
Madrid is the best team in the world right now and has been since destroying Bayern and then beating Atleti in the CL. It's undeniable.
We're even better this season where we're on pace to score 141 goals in La Liga (record is 120 something). We're not just winning... we're destroying teams.
Iker is not a weak GK. He's been quite good lately. His issue is confidence... he needs complete confidence from his manager. Carlo has handed him the keys this season and he's showing his worth. Different story at NT level where he's challenged... every keeper needs to know he's unquestioned.
As far as the other teams... Bayern, Chelsea, etc. are nowhere as complete as Madrid.
Just deal with it. We're the kings and all of you are fawning at our feet.

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
how do you smash a team last season, then improved 10x from that time and still be considered worst than the team you smashed?
I don't see bayern better than madrid at anything, you guys were defensively better last season too, who kept the clean sheets? if the teams meet again you lot are conceding 3 more goals
lastly when barca dominates everyone is cool, bayern beats them everyone is cool with them being the best, so why can't everybody just be cool with madrid being the best until proven otherwise?

Re: Are Madrid the Real Deal?
I think it's a pace we can't keep anyhow... the La Liga record is 121 (we set it a couple of years ago). We beat that and it's historic enough lol.Hapless_Hans wrote:I just wonder if sports will be disappointed if they only score 140 instad of 141 goals
Of course, Madrid play in a league that's actually competitive. We can't wrap up the league in March and rest everyone for the CL games like Bayern can... not that it did you much good last season
