Re: Mohamed Salah
I think by 'chance', they mean multiple games in a row.

This is Chelsea, not West Bromwich Albion. May be harsh but you don't get a charity run of games to prove yourself when there are other players who could be out there doing the job with ease. Have to seize an opportunity when it comes. He's had them, and hasn't done.

Problem is Schurrle is above him in that pecking order. As when he's gotten those singular chances here and there (although admittedly more numerable that Salah's), he has taken them.

Re: Mohamed Salah
You and I both know that people play better with repeated games in a row as oppose to singular games every few weeks.
Also, to go back to a discussion of from a few days ago, Thorgan should be given a chance over Piazon, if we were to get rid of Salah for someone.
He is proving himself at BMG.

Even last season, Thor easily outperformed Lucas.

Not what I said, but if we were to replace Salah, Thorgan would be my pick.

If it gets to the end of the season, and he has shown no signs of improvement, then we get rid of him. But I believe he will improve and become a valuable player for us.

Re: Mohamed Salah
That's the thing - based on what? His 3 or 4 performances against us? His form at Basel in the sodding Swiss League? Hahahaha.
Reality is, he's shown nowt in nearly a year of being with us, and is not looking a single bit like improving. And let's not us again have to hear about needing a 'run of games'. What in his performance today [against a cannon fodder fourth tier nobody] or any other of his opportunities this term so far for you warrants dropping one of Willian, Oscar or Hazard in order to give him a charity run of starts? It's ludicrous. He's not entitled to the club or the manager willfully putting out a weaker side than is available for any number of games just so wee MoMo can get a gratuitous spell in the side to show his supposed abilities because he's unable to do it in the appearances he has gotten.

Re: Mohamed Salah
I don't get it. I thought he was bought to be a sub player ala Kalou at best. Why are you calling the guy shit ? He was never going to be a starter ( imo ). Now the question is , is he able to be a valuable asset coming from the bench ( like wright phillips, Kalou, Mikel now, paolo ferreira post 2009 ) ?
Anyways he's too young for that role imo.

Precisely, he needs to be performing well in the role he's in - that of an impact sub likely to get little more than singular appearances here are there - and bottom line is, he's not.

Re: Mohamed Salah
I think you're putting a lot of expectations on him Shed.
Sure he's been really bad but he's just 22 making him younger than Hazard. For him to be able to impact a game, he needs time to develop as well which makes me feel we bought him much too early in his career if we're just gonna use him as a sub
I won't miss him if we end up selling at the end of the year but til then I wouldn't place much expectation on him

Re: Mohamed Salah
Expecting a professional footballer pulling in more in a week that the majority of people make in a year to look at least halfway competent at his job = too high an expectation. Okay.
You can very well argue he was signed too young and early in his development (and I wouldn't disagree at all), but we're not obligated to make allowances or concessions for it. Either you perform or you'll be criticised.
He'll not be a Chelsea player on the first day of the 2015-16 season. And we'll be all the better for it.

haha don't give me that "oh he earns more than me, so he must do his job better" argument
I don't doubt that he gives his best to the team but he has so many ways to improve himself. Yes, we should expect all of our players to play really well but I think we all agree that you expect him to emulate Hazard on the pitch every time he plays
