Chelsea Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with FC Basel for the transfer of their 21-year-old attacking midfielder Mohamed Salah.
The move is subject to the Egyptian international agreeing personal terms and completing a medical examination.

I would've thought that cases Marin and Moses would had cooled Chelsea's interest in these type of signings. Maybe it'll be third time lucky.
Personally not that bothered about us missing out on Salah, dont think he would've been the difference between top-4 and Europa League. Hopefully we spend the money on a CM now.

Lol I didn't even we were serious about signing him.... And now he's one of us. Anyway whatever, I feel this is a wasteful signing, but he's young so it's good. I guess now we don't really have a problem of an over flooding of midfield attacking talents anymore and everything is back to normal... Still I can't believe mata is gone...

He is going to be hated because he is Mata's replacement, many people are shifting their hatred of the Mata deal onto the fact that Salah is the replacement.

Mata moving isn't what any fan wants but it seems he doesn't fit our system and simply wants 1st team football, can't blame him really. The only dumb part is that they're willing to let him to go united.

Yeah, i'm really hoping we see a few of those insane counter attacks that we saw at Madrid on the occasion.
Just imagine Hazard/Salah bombing down the wings, they will rip defenses to shreds. I for one am really excited to see him play, I'm upset about Mata but as you said that shouldn't cloud what could be a good signing.

I'd be the first to admit that I am simply expressing my own anger over this situation, that's why I wasn't happy about Signing Salah.

I don't know about counterattack football. Mourinho has clearly said that the Board wants him to play proactive football. Counterattack football is not proactive football.

Winning football is good football. As long as he's winning, the board and owner won't give 2 tosses how 'pretty' we're playing. It's a massive farce.
