You can very well argue he was signed too young and early in his development (and I wouldn't disagree at all), but we're not obligated to make allowances or concessions for it. Either you perform or you'll be criticised.

I don't doubt that he gives his best to the team but he has so many ways to improve himself. Yes, we should expect all of our players to play really well but I think we all agree that you expect him to emulate Hazard on the pitch every time he plays Razz

I expect nothing but competence - a very low threshold for the level of football he's playing at, and yet he's nowhere close to meeting even that. And as for your faux magnanimous "he's trying" line of bull – we could bring a player up from League Two and throw him into our side and he'd "try" too, wouldn't mean he was up to the task or good enough for this level, or that he'd be exempt from criticism. Same is the case with Salah. Not good enough; never good enough. You can dig as deep a hole in the sand as you wish, and stuff your head as far down it as you'd like, it's not going to change that.

Disagree with what? Where am I wrong in what I've said? We spent £15m on him. Has he repaid it? Has he come even close to? Has he contributed a single thing to our side in the almost 12 months he's been at the club?

If you like him so much, if you think I'm wrong, defend him. What has he done in the last year?
