1-1 after 90 minutes. Arsenal through to the final against PSV after they won the penalty shoot-out 4-3; Huddart made two saves, Zelalem scored the winning pen.
Yassine Fortune scored a very nice goal but had to go off injured.
Arsenal used a high press for a lot of the second half. Forced Stuttgart into giving the ball away in bad areas several times but failed to capitalise.

We paid €2.5m for Fortune & Rene-Adelaide, so it does not surprise me to see them be good so early.

Re: Arsenal U23s & U18s Thread
Arsenal won 2-1 thanks to a last minute from Yassine "Thierry" Fortune. Looks like we've gotten two gems from Lens.
Ben Sheaf got player of the tournament. Scored two screamers.
Impressive win considering Bielik, Crowley and Jeff weren't involved.

Loved Yassine's goal. Real quality, also winning a final in the last minutes is always cool.

Don't think he is ready, if we send him now i think he will struggle and eventually loose confidence. Better stay and try to get a game in the cups.

Re: Arsenal U23s & U18s Thread
If Crowley/Maitland-Niles are ready then so is Zelalem. He's been even longer in our first team without a loan.
Should it fail, he comes back to our first team like Akpom and tries again next year. U21 level does him no good anymore.
Iwobi aswell.

Guess Iwobi will be a January loan option. He seems to be on the fringes of the first team so I believe he'll get his chances in COC until we get dumped.
Though a season-long loan is always the best option I believe AW might want to watch him more closely.
Believe Zelalem is worth a loan tryout. He could be probably fired up by the demotion from the first team and that could spur him on to do well.Further his exploits with Arsenal and US underage teams can help him get a good club which is willing to play him regularly as well.
Arsenal have managed to loan out as the prospective first teamers to good clubs and most of them started well too.Hope they send to GZ on loan too.

Re: Arsenal U23s & U18s Thread
Arsenal U18s too started off with a victory in their new season like the U21s.A very good start compared how we finished last season.
U18s won 2-0 vs Norwich, with the 'next hype' Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah scoring.
Also, the goal scored by Reiss Nelson was from a set piece routine which was devised by Theirry Henry and U18s coach,Kwame Ampadu.
He was one of the youth coaches yesterday and was seen congratulating Nelson for his goal.
