Liverpool FC vs. Hull City || New Years Day
Well not much to write for the preview, other than we really MUST win this match after 2 losses. And also for some pride since we got a spanking from them 30 days ago.
Gerrard and Flanno could be back but nothing concrete just yet.

Well if no one is fit and Sakho and Allen are out, then we have 14 players available, 2 of which are keepers. Expect a lot of academy players on the bench.
There is a slight chance Gerrard and Flanno might be back. Rodgers' prematch presser will be tonight or tomorrow morning so we should know more.

God I wish Ibe wasn't injured. He has been head and shoulders above the rest in the reserves. He would definitely be of more use in these festive period than Moses or Aspas ffs.
For one he would definitely have come on instead of Brad Smith against Chelsea.

A must win. After two one-goal defeats to top-4 rivals, this is absolutely a must win, imo. Not only for the points, also for the mentality.
The bad news is that it's probably the worst time to play Hull. We are suffering from injuries and fatigue. We lost to Hull only a month ago. They scored six times in their previous game and are generally speaking in fine form, 10th in the table.
But even so, I won't be happy with anything but a win from this one.

We shouldn't be happy with anything but a win in ANY home game, even if it's against Bayern Munich. Let alone Hull Tigers. I want us to have a 18W, 1L home record in May.
We'll twat these ugly inbreds.

It's at home and we'll play our game... 3 points in the bag. Suarez brace.
If Luis Alberto doesn't play this game, I'm going to be angry.
Gerrard's back, but he shouldn't be RUSHED back (same with Sturridge). He needs to sit this one on the bench this game.

He hasn't started a game so far and Rodgers hasn't given him any minutes even in the hectic festive period, in spite of our injuries. Brought on Smith against Chelsea rather than him... So I wouldn't count on him playing, yet alone starting.
Since Allen seems to be out and if Gerrard cannot start, I'd go with this:
Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Cissokho
Henderson - Lucas - Coutinho
Sterling - Suarez - Moses
So have Coutinho play deeper than usual, a CM role. He is light-weight but isn't scared to throw himself about. I know Moses is badly out of favour here, but he's not a bad footballer and, most importantly, is fresh. Wouldn't mind seeing Toure get a game at CB, though, but if Sakho is out I guess it's going to be Skrtel Agger.

We will win this game for sure, may not be a very convincing win but we will still get through it...that is what we are doing all the season, after a disappointing result we will get back to our usual.
I dont want to rush anyone right now, i want everyone to be fresh and ready for Neverton game, we must win that one to push them further down the table

Having recovered from the pains of the past two defeats I guess its time to move on. The positive in this match is that its at anfield else could have been worse with our thin squad. Hull is brimming with confidence, spelt Fulham in their last match, we are bleeding from losing two matches; they should be roasted today. However, we shouldn't be shocked if we end up with a draw.

Let's go like this:
------------Mignolet------------
Jonson-Skrtel--Agger-Cissoko
-------Lucas-Henderson-------
Raheem---Suarez---Coutinho
--------------Aspas-------------
It's a toss-up between Moses and Aspas and I think Suarez will benefit with Aspas in/around box.

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Hull City || New Years Day
Damn, Henderson needed to score that 43rd minute chance
Absolutely no good to miss the target completely.
Not a classic half from us, but Agger fights us a goal
It could even be enough, you know.

Henderson ... Sterling ... Coutinho (
three enormous missed chances. the match had to be already closed.
No words for Suarez. He is genious. high intelligence .. he has not missed anything. I feel sorry for him when his teammates dissipate all

Re: Liverpool FC vs. Hull City || New Years Day
How about that for a free-kick from Suarez... Someone should really make a Suarez free-kick compilation in LFC shirt and post it in the general section, his free-kicks are sensational, such a high conversion rate. Can't think of a player who'd be better in the world at free-kicks at the moment.
