Meek committed career suicide.. Every time you go at the biggest rapper in the game you risk getting your career ruined.. He went from being one of the hardest out to a joke.. Nicki is going to leave him too just watch, girls like that don't like being with losers

Should of just kept his mouth shut, but the terrible diss record ruined it all for him.. He needed to at the very least put up a fight

I was hoping Drake v Mill was going to be like a second coming of LL v Canibus. This shit was a 1st round KO. I wana see Drake go on to body other "street rappers".

I am not sure if the track will be viewed in the same regards as Ether but 2 -3 lines from that song will be immortal lol.

lol of course not.

But if you take a look at lists of the top diss songs on the internet, Back to Back is better than some of those.
Take for instance a song like Ice Cube's No Vaseline, considered one of the best by some, but I can't get into the flow and beat of that song. Drake's sounds far better, and the punchlines are heard instantly while I after one listen I can't tell what No Vaseline was about.

As great as Ether was, I feel as though it gets hyped because of who said it and who it was targeted towards.

The insults are nasty but are pretty generic. The only lines I can think of that only apply to Jay Z are:

1.That Hawain Sophie line
2. Using the Nas sample on Dead pres
3. That part about stealing lines/styles from Biggie, KRS and Kane.

The rest of the song is just nas making generic disses (calling him ugly and fake)

I did like that line : "i rock hoes yall roc-a-fellas" Laughing

It was a good diss track but it gets overhyped. If that song was not targeted towards HOV in his prime, people would not pay as much attention to it.

Agreed. Basically every line he said at the song was a diss at Jay Z. It is definitely deserves all the hyped. Calling out Jay Z for everything hip hop fans was accusing him of (like trying to make himself and Dash the new Biggie/Diddy), that song was/is so loved because Nas became the voice of the voiceless and also the track itself was killer.

Ether and Hit 'em Up are the ultimate, undisputed top 2. You can argue which one is better between them, but they are the top 2 diss tracks of all time and that's that!
